Rock & Grill — Restaurant in Mazarrón

Not good, not good at all. Visited today 13th April at around 1500 hours. 3 courses for under €13 sounds like a good deal but when most of the food is substandard and inebible and you still pay for uneaten food it turns out to be a rip off.

We were a party of 4.

Prawn Cocktail to start, grilled chicken with pepper sauce main. Prawn Coctial was OK but the cocktail sauce lacked flavour. Chicken inedible because tough almost like it had been cooked twice. Korean Spare Ribs starter, Sirloin Steak main. Korean Ribs lacking in meat but worse the small amount of meat that was on it was under cooked. Steak asked for medium rare came out well done. 2nd attempt raw but worse of all it was just fat and sinew the worst steak any of our party has ever seen and I think our server was also shocked at how UTTERLY DISGUSTING this was. She removed this very quickly and I regret not taking a photo. Korean Ribs to start main course pork medallions. These ribs were under cooked aswell. Pork Medallions were ok (but had been put off but the ribs) Chicken Goujons starter with Bacon Cheese burger main. I would describe my chicken as reformed and a half portion ( 1 goujon and 1/2 a goujon). My burger on the plus side was very nice. Due our dissatisfaction we left without receiving deserts. We ended up paying €52.15 which was for three, 3 course meals and 5 drinks (2 soft and 3 alcoholic). We feel robbed by Rock & Grill. None of us had deserts and most of our party didn't have any food.

My party and I, if asked will actively advise people not to visit Rock & Grill. We will never visit again

In response to your reply I would suggest you watch Gorden Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares. Proprietor's of restaurants that are in denial about their food are often hiding an array of other problems in their establishments. You gave 1 drink free gratis you charged for all deserts even though none were taken. 2 starters were eaten yes but 2 starters (the Korean Ribs) had been cut into to try and find some cooked meat but not eaten. The steak.....now that is utterly unbelievable that you have the audacity to try and defend the scrag end that was served. I would honestly suggest you take your negative reviews (LOL 😠) more seriously. However I'm fearfull that YOU WILL NOT LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES. You asked what more you could have done, well simply you should have not charged for the deserts either steaks, the chicken in pepper sauce (which if you'd have asked why the lady didn't like it she'd have told you that it was inedible) and the Korean Ribs.

Dear Rock & Grill In reply to your 2nd reply, thank you very much for your gracious offer. Im glad you would offer us the opportunity to give you a second chance. If I am in your area again I will give you another chance (everyone should be allowed a second chance). Also I would not accept a free meal, I would happily pay for what I eat and I would hope to receive a lovely meal. I honestly have no malice in my review I just hope you can take any honest negative reviews and use it to improve and become the very best restaurant in the area. No ill...

Very disappointed by this restaurant. Initially the staff were helpful and managed to get us a table for 9 (it was my birthday meal). We ordered drinks, however the missed my sons Fanta and an extra bottle of water. When ordering, two of us including myself are vegetarian. We ordered the goats cheese and tomato salad and the cheese and tomato pizza. The food arrived really quickly which was great however, the salad came with bacon on the top and the pizza was tuna. I explained to the waitress that both myself and my daughter are vegetarian. They corrected the salad however my 11 year old never received the cheese and tomato pizza. We asked for the bill as the rest of the party had finished and my daughter was starving and they didn't seem to care that she hadn't received the meal she had asked for. When the bill came we had been charged for 3 extra drinks and a cheese and tomato pizza. The staff were unhelpful and too busy to care. Pre-booked, 6pm, asked for inside away from doors and windows, somewhere warm... arrived to all the doors and windows open and absolutely freezing inside... we ordered our food, Fillet steak for my husband (we asked what comes with it, he said, chips and sauce... I said pepper?. he said yes... ordered a half rack of ribs with honey and bourbon sauce... Ribs came with nothing on them... had to ask for BBQ sauce to help with flavour.... steak arrived, with some chips and a ramekin of peppered sauce... (sauce cold). which did not help when both mains where on cold plates. food was ok, but the coldness within the restaurant really put us off altogether... in fact, we left 3/4 through our meal given the coldness... received bill only to find €2.50 for peppered sauce, I asked why the charge, he said it's extra, I said the sauce comes with it, he said, no the only sauce comes with it is the sauce from the steak, I said the juices you mean, he sauce.... anyway, we wont be back....
