Nice setting but dreadful and expensive food.

My husband, my daughter and I thought we would give this a try tonight but regretted it deeply. The service was good but the waiter could have asked if everything was ok, which he didn’t but it was probably good that he didn’t or he would have had a lot to listen to. My daughter chose a Brie salad, which was one of the recommendations. There was as good as no salad on this plate but a deep fried Brie with a few bean sprouts, a small amount of chopped tomato and the whole thing was smothered in chilli sauce so that the Brie could not be tasted.. Unfortunately, the Brie was only lukewarm to add to the disappointment that this wasn’t a salad 🥗 as stated. For 12 euros, we would have expected something more substantial and including salad. I ordered mussels for 10,95€ which came in a big mussels pan but when I opened it I couldn’t believe the very small portion of mussels which were in this, the pan was not even half way full! I did actually count them and there were 18 in total, 3 of which were either empty or didn’t open. The sauce was good and I was very pleased I had ordered extra chips and a bread roll, otherwise I would have gone home very hungry. The chips came in a small basket at a ludicrous price of 4.90€ and were also lukewarm. My husband thought he had ordered the safe bet and had calamari frito for 13,20€ but these were like rubber and were inedible to say the least. Last but not least, we ordered two glasses of house wine for what we thought was 3,50€ a glass but we were obviously served something better for 4,50€ which we first saw when we got the bill. The final bill came to 55 Euros and to say we were disappointed is a very big understatement. If this is the quality that is usually served up at these prices, this place will not be frequented by locals and the tourists will come once and...

I recently visited Luna Beach in Calahonda, and it was an absolutely delightful experience that deserves every bit of praise! This beachside gem perfectly blends stunning views, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service, making it a must-visit spot on the Costa del Sol. The location is simply breathtaking—right on Playa La Luna with golden sand and the sparkling Mediterranean as your backdrop. Whether you’re sipping a cocktail or enjoying a meal, the scenery elevates every moment. The restaurant itself has a relaxed yet vibrant vibe, with stylish decor and a welcoming feel that suits both casual beachgoers and those looking for a special dining experience. The food was outstanding, with a menu that showcases fresh, local ingredients. The attention to detail in the presentation and taste was impressive, and there’s something for everyone, from classic Mediterranean dishes to tasty burgers. What truly set Luna Beach apart, though, was the exceptional service, particularly from Duarte. From the moment we arrived, Duarte’s warm smile and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. He was attentive without being intrusive, offering spot-on recommendations and ensuring every detail of our visit was perfect. His passion for his work and care for guests shone through, turning a great meal into a memorable experience. Duarte’s professionalism and charm are a credit to the Luna Beach team! The live entertainment added a fantastic touch, creating a lively yet relaxed atmosphere as the sun set. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic dinner, a family outing, or just a drink by the sea, Luna Beach delivers on every front. I can’t wait to return and will definitely ask for Duarte again. Highly recommend this...

Hello. I have something interesting to say about this restaurant. At first me and my friend was welcomed by a lazy and rude waiter. He did not pay any attention to us and it seemed like he hated his job. We ordered our food and drinks, and it didn’t arrive before around 30 minutes later. When I had almost eaten up my very over seasoned burger when I spotted something moving on my fork. When I was going to take the last bite I saw a WORM in my burger! I politely told the closest waiter, and he took my food. Me and my friend was shocked while we were waiting for someone to talk to us. We didn’t cause any scene, and expected to get the entire meal for free. Eventually the same rude waiter that welcomed us in the beginning came and said that I only get the burger for free. After maybe 15 minutes another rude waiter comes with the bill. I take my credit card up from my purse, and tell him that I want to pay with the card. Then he rolls his eyes and looks at me like I am the stupid one. Then he leaves our table, which by the way was in the sand and we were sitting 50 cm lower than usual, and don’t return before another 15 minutes with the card terminal. Then I pay (?!) and leave while wanting to throw up because I probably just ate 50 worms.

So no, I would not recommend this restaurant unless u like worms in...

We came on a tuesday evening after reserving a tabke via their whatsapp. Dunner service doesnt start until 7pm so we had a drink at the bar when we arrived. Luna Beach is a very pretty and relaxing place to have a drink and some food. The menu is a bit pricy but the dishes are tasty. The seafood paella was 19euros each. They very kindly did some kids dishes of fish and chips and chicken escalope and chips though they weren't quite on the menu. The desserts were more than enough and the sangria refreshing. The service is a bit slow so make sure you bring some snacks for the kids and something for them to do whilst you wait- dobble or uno. Food took around 45 minutes to come and dessert around half an hour! However I would still come back as the ambiance is worth it and the kids loved a paddle on the beach at sunset. Side note: during the days its worth getting there early to find a parking space (before 9:30am). Suns beds at Luna Beach restaurant are 7.50euros for a day (payable by card or cash) We suggest reserving some if you are late risers via their WhatsApp. Customers can use their toilets which are very clean. Coffees are around 2euros.

We have been using Luna Beach for over 6 years and have enjoyed countless meals and post beach day cocktails but today’s experience was utterly awful. No complaints at all with the food or bar staff, who are always friendly. The restaurant staff, in particular one of the female staff members was nothing short of rude! Could not be less interested in her work, in fact I’d go as far to say it was evidently an inconvenience to her. We, as a group of 4, all felt the surly and disinterested nature of this staff member. We raised no complaints of where we were sat, our drinks or food and simply could not understand why we were treated so badly; there was so excuse for it whatsoever - we will now use more friendly and polite establishments nearby.

Discover this place while on a hiking trip on a Sunday afternoon. The live music with saxophone drew our attention and decided to have a stop drink something and enjoy the music continuing our hike. Unfortunately they don’t allow you to have a seat if you are not eating there. Disappointed but not defeated! Since we enjoyed the music we decided to try again in a week and eat something. The service was a nightmare. The place was not even full but the service seemed to be overwhelmed. When the food came, once they forgot the sauce completely, then they bring us paella no cutlery. Waited for the cutlery like 7 minutes. The food in itself was nothing to call home about. It was an experience I don’t want to repeat.
