Restaurante Pizzería Lucone — Restaurant in Mogán

This is the best and most authentic Italian food on Gran Canaria. The prices are not outrageous like some of the places closer to the sea. It's worth the 8km drive up the Valley of Mogan. It's not only the best pizza this side of Naples.This is far more than a run of the mill pizzeria.. Lucone makes an excellent Carbonara with real boar's cheek (guanciiale) as wells with bacon (both are available), Guanciale is my favorite and most authentic. The Ossobuco as well as spaghetti all vongole or frutti di mare are superb. I only wish there was some polenta with then Ossobuco!. This is a top quality Italian Pizzeria and restaurant in an out of the way location but worth making the trip to visit.

On the northern outskirts of Mogan, this unimpressive local Pizzeria delivered up some really excellent pizzas and pasta dishes.

The Italian chef and owner offered us homemade pear and Parmesan ravioli and apple strudel for desert. We tried them both and they were excellent.

The pizzas were equally good and quite sophisticated. The bottle of Primitivo from Puglia was superb.

Well worth a visit or a detour...

A proper Italian owned business. Was recommended by Italian friends to eat here and I have several times. The pasta is fresh and the presentation is good..portion size a little too large for me though. I've ordered take away pizza twice and it has been boxed as I arrive to collect each time.
