Pros: The staff was friendly, 24hr reception and freshly made cappuccino in the morning, great radio on the room.
Neutral: I arrived around 11:30pm and wanted to check in. The receptionist looked for my booking and apparently it was cancelled (not by me as it was a business trip ) Anyway it was not a big deal, 10 minutes later I got a room.
Cons: It might have been because of the issue with the booking, but I got a tiny room. I was traveling with a hand luggage sized suitcase and could not leave it open in the room as it would block the whole way. Bathroom was tiny as well. Shower was okay, however the entry to the shower was right next to the toilet, so hardly any space to get in and out. Not great when you are wet and it is slippery. No proper bed linen, the bed was covered with a wool blanket, I am personally not a fan of these blankets and prefer a normal linen.
Overall it was okay to stay 3 nights, but I will not book it again but will stay in the...
Read moreWe stayed there Oct 2013, for almost a week. Access to Barcelona by 3 minute walk to train station. On a busy street, but it gets very quiet after 10PM. Try the goat cheese salad and (at the time) the Special of a hamburger with a gin and tonic - great after being in Europe for weeks! The waiter Jorge (George in English) was extremely helpful and so was the receptionist. It has only 20 rooms, but the lunch crowd and dinner crowd must come from all over as the restaurant would fill up completely. We found the place very accommodating, there was an elevator and a secure parking garage. What foods and drinks we had there - were excellent! All in all, it was one of the best places we stayed in for service, friendliness, proximity to Barcelona and other close-by tourist destinations and the food! We would stay...
