Bar La Roca — Restaurant in Monistrol de Montserrat

The bar keep two birds in separate cages so small than they cannot even fly or sing as miserable they looked. while i was drinking I saw one trying to pass its neck between the barrer and eat it. In the wild, these beautiful beings are never alone. Life in captivity is often a death sentence for birds, who may suffer from malnutrition, an improper environment, loneliness, and the stress of confinement. Birds are meant to fly and be with others of their own kind in a natural environment.

We enjoyed a delicious simple lunch, freshly prepared, of a goats cheese salad, a grilled chicken quarter with croquettes & delicious oven baked mushrooms, plus a glass of vino tinto. En route from Barcelona to Andorra; pleased to have discovered this adorable little ancient village and a truly local restaurant where lunch for 2 is under €20. We will visit again! We stayed at Montserrat for two days and we choose to spent some good time and have a dinner in this little bar. I can say that food was simple but delicious. Everything was fresh and everybody was happy with choosed meal. Prices was very friendly and also sizes of portions. This place has a good vibe and also friendly staff.
