Staff pleasant and decent food. Ramen were nice but not hot enough. Ordered plain noodle for the kids (x2) unfortunately the bill came up to 39 euros with a beer and temaki!! Been charged full price (9.50 e) for a plain noodle w sauce (19e) so even if you source your product directly from Japan which I doubt it is a rip off for a plain noodle size portion. No apologies where made... this is "how they do". .... Just to be clear I did not critisice your food but the bill. It is a shame that the only answer you gave is that the salmon was Norwegian (most of the places use the same), that my kids hit the wall which is absolutely not true and that we've consumed other drinks in your premises... come on... 1 beer was ordered and we had a small water bottle for the kids. We even complimented you for the food and your business idea and you should take every review as a way to improve your business. Next time just say that you don't do plain noodle or be more clear about the price but do not criticise your customer as it is not professional. Your are a good business and reviews are made to grow...
Read moreMore like a food truck trapped inside four walls. Seats about 16 people max. Fully decorated by what can only be described as a Japanese pop culture fanatic. You’re not really served — more like guided through the experience. And the toilet… well, let’s just say: you have to experience it. Want to stop reading here? Don’t. Keep going.
Because we came for the food — and this crew knows exactly what they’re doing. Ingredients, technique, flavor — all spot on.
The toro tuna was excellent. And I finally found a place that serves Shake Don: deep-fried salmon skin on rice. Crunchy, oily, delicious — I thought I was the only weirdo who loved that. The yakisoba was another pleasant surprise: clean, healthy, and not drowned in sauces like at many other Japanese spots.
Even the mochis were good — and I’m picky bad, too sweet dessert.
We paid about 30€ per person. Worth it.
Recommended if you’re into great Japanese food, don’t mind quirks, and enjoy a dining experience that feels like a cross between a manga and a...
Read moreWhat a gem! My girlfriend are so happy we found this place, now our favorite restaurant in the area by far! Firstly, you can actually 'eat in' thanks to a well designed area right in front of the truck designed in a really cool 'pop culture' Japanese style so don't think it's only to take away. And the food is SO GOOD! I had the Japanese style chicken curry, my girlfriend the miso soup and a rice and salmon dish, and we were both very impressed. We also spoke with the the couple working (maybe the owners?) who were extremely friendly as well as knowledgeable. He was telling us how he sources all his fish products from a sustainable source to ensure the absolute best quality and it was clear from both the food and the conversation that a lot of love, pride and talent go into to making every dish here. Highly...
