Normally very good here but a not very pleasant experience on Saturday- the place was half full at best and we stood our bikes very carefully against our chairs, well away from anyone but obviously close enough we could keep an eye on them. Cue a torrent ( in Spanish) of grumbling and orders from the waitress to move them( which we did, even though we now had them at risk). She was obviously having a bad day ( or just doesn't like cyclists) as the rest of the service was offhand, brusque and disinterested. First time I've been there and not tipped. Em's Bistro is a lovely mid-sized restaurant just a couple of minutes off the RM-1. There's plenty of shaded outdoor seating, which is a good distance away from the roadway. There's also quite a lot of seating inside the building with decent aircon.

They have menus in English and many of the staff are also able to speak English.

The food is really good. The menu leans into the British style, with plenty of recognisable dishes; fish & chips, lamb skank, pies, English breakfast, and so on. Everything was cooked to perfection, and they clearly use fresh food and top-quality ingredients.

Food was good and Service very friendly. Inside of the cafe is surprisingly big with really nice tables and chairs. One big problem was the smell of sewerage in the cafe which the staff acknowledged and said the boss is aware. The smell is clearly coming from the toilets which are disgusting and the smell was concentrated. The extraction fan was not extracting instead air was coming into the toilet which was pushing air into the restaurant. A real shame that the toilet is not up to the same standard as everything else!
