Restaurante Tropicana — Restaurant in Nerja

We've avoided being swamped in Britishness for the past month while travelling around Spain in our motorhome. We arrived at a camp site down the road just before lunch on a Sunday. Our camp site neighbours said that they were going to meet friends up the road at this place and having previously lived in the area they said that it was nice. They weren't wrong. On arrival Nigel the Owner welcomed us and we were offered either a BBQ or a large selection of roast dinner options..What a nice place. Live music while we dined..Amazing food, great warm and friendly service. Very sociable clientele all-around us from around Europe, but mostly Brits. And the BEST bit was that we could use the pool as long as we were eating with them. Places like this have had it tough throughout Covid and it's time that they were back in the centre of all of our worlds. If you want to go somewhere where you're made to feel, welcome and at home then this is the place for you....

Well, very disappointed customer. Day before booked table, thinking it would be busy for Sunday roast. Ordered for 3pm Sunday and paid deposit, Dorada, with 'fresh salad' and roast pots,.(thinking we could make ours like saute with bit oil). So on the day, not much welcome. TV was switched on with football. Music too (very loud)! Waited 3/4 hour at least for pre-ordered Dorada. Meal arrived, Dorada with cold broccolli, carrots, peas and baked potato. Then second TV switched on too. Football and music was all over the place, so owner could entertain himself and family. Customer wishes didn't matter. Thank you to the Spanish guy's service and the Dorada was nice. I'm not surprised there was just one table eating roast lunch. One table watching football, but not eating. And family eating roast lunch eating and cheering football. The...

Was there tonight 26th May 2019 Was really Bad ! I ordered a baked potato....,,,,, Was delivered to my table rock hard.... was returned and brought back out, slightly more cooked but I object to it being replaced in the microwave as the tuna mayo was hot 😱 Still waiting for the serviettes........
