Gastrobar Pizzeria San FRANCISCO — Restaurant in Orihuela

My wife and myself have eaten here a few times during 2021 and food was usually average but the bar is convenient for us. Ate here again 31/10/21 and wow it was just so disappointing. I went inside to order as the girl was busy. I ordered the ribs which were no more than average. They came with some salad and a very small portion of chips. For my wife I asked what type of fish was served battered and I was taken to the serving hatch and shown frozen merluza wrapped in clingfilm which can be easily sourced very cheaply at any local supermarket. The fish was declined and I ordered the half chicken. From here we waited on our food and I received the ribs as previously described. My wifes half chicken came out in the shape of 2 thin chicken escalopes which were described as chicken breast. We were told that the chef didn't like the look of the half chickens so served us this instead without any consultation. We were charged accordingly for what we received but to say we were disappointed in what we received would be an understatement. We will pop in now and again for a beer but we will never eat here again. To describe pub San Francisco as a Gastropub is ridiculous as the food is mostly frozen and cheaply sourced. I reckon that there has been 4 different chefs on each of our visits this year and this obviously makes it evident that there is a problem somewhere. Conveniently situated next to the overseas supermarket...yes. Called in for a coffee whilst my wife was in Iceland. Sat outside as I have a dog, spoke to a customer for a little while whilst waiting.
