Little Italy gastro ristorante — Restaurant in Orihuela

Worst place in the neighbourhood to spend your money. They describe their dishes as homemade. So this is what we expected. Until the pasta clams came; and the lasagna bolognaise.

The sauce came out of a package; and the lasagna was not even to be called Italian…

When informing the waiter about this, he mentioned that we were the only one having those issues. Very very unprofessional.

When I asked about the home made items which they describe on te menu; he again mentioned we were the only guests complaining about this…. Such a bad service and attitude as well. This is definitely not an Italian restaurant and I would recommend everybody to eat somewhere else unless you want to pay for canned food.

Worst thing of all is: I’m a chef for over 15 years, I told the manager I was really not satisfied and gave him insights about how he could improve those things, which he rather did not listen to and simply told me to go away.

Went for lunch, I had lasagne which was very nice and not out of a packet like some other reviews suggest. My husband had gammon which he said was excellent. Overall it was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. I only gave 4 stars because the bread was a bit on the heavy side, but no complaints about the food or the service. We'll return!......we have now been back twice more and the bread is now served hot and is excellent..no complaints at all with the food and we have sampled various dishes from the menu. Another visit with friends over from UK. We went Friday evening (19th May) the place was busy but we got a table. The food was excellent so was the service. I visited Little Italy Gastro Ristorante in Cabo Roig and ordered the sizzling fajitas with beef, chicken, and prawns. The food was served hot and flavorful, but unfortunately, the prawns were missing from the dish.

However, the staff handled the situation very professionally — they apologized sincerely and offered me a discount, which I truly appreciated.
