Restaurante Woko Cabana — Restaurant in Orihuela

We visited this restaurant tonight with our toddler and had a really tasty meal. We ordered Chicken Satay, crispy shrimp and tuna tataki to start. All were delicious. Our toddler loved the satay chicken. My husband didn’t expect the tuna to be so fresh and cooked to perfection. For Mains we had the Chilli Flame and Made by Bangkok. Made by Bangkok was a really tasty Thai green curry. With lots of veg, which I was grateful for. Broccoli, cauliflower, courgettes, peppers and baby corn. Not the typical Thai veg but delicious non the less! Huge chunks of lemon grass and lime keeping it authentic! Huge thanks to Ryan and Linda for looking after us so well! We’ve been to Thailand and have an amazing Thai restaurant near us in Manchester. This place is lovely and I would defo recommend. (I’d drop the garlic bread roll from the mains, it’s not needed and was a little strange).

We came here to have dinner. We were assigned a table band after a few minutes we received the menu card. However afterwards we waited for 20 minutes and nobody came to take our order. Despite the fact that multiple times I tried to catch the attention of the waiter by waving my hand frantically but to no avail. The most insulting part was that the male waiter came to took orders from the table behind us and the one on our right hand side but ignored us completely! Alors... par où commencer ? Le positif, le personnel est accueillant et poli. ( même si serveuse ne parle pas espagnol !? ) Question décor et ambiance, le restaurant est caler entre un bar à cocktail ( beaucoup de bruit et de jeunes alcoolisés) et un autre restaurant bref pas assez zen pour apprécier le décor simple et minimaliste. Au niveau de la carte on nous promets de revisiter les classiques de la cuisine Thaï. Les plats sont frais et fait sur place ( un bon point ) nous avons pris en entrée pour essayer le roll végétarien, fait maison et bon Mais vraiment trop petit pour le prix et surtout il était pas chaud ! Mais très très chaud risque de brûlures SIC ! En plat nous avons pris le sweet hony et le paî-thai. Au niveau du sweet hony, le plat était servi dans un demi ananas qui était hélas loin vu la fraîcheur ( noir sur les bords et la tige centrale ) mais le goût y était Mais j'ai commandé un sweat et la ça piquait fort ??? Concernant le paï-thai ... rien avoir avec un paî-thai, beaucoup beaucoup trop d'ail et pâtes un peu trop aldente ( pas de crevettes ??? ) de plus les plats sont servis avec des pains beurré à l'ail ... l'intérêt ? Bref L'intérêt de ce restaurant n'est pas une priorité si vous voulez sortir manger un bout. Je vous conseille de ne pas vous fiez au commentaire positif, car cela s'apparente à des plats Thaï fait avec une grosse couche d'Anglisisme...( et ce n'est qu'une question de cuture culinaire ) latin,francophone,germanique,scandinave, vous êtes prévenu si vous voulez de l'authenticité thaïlandaise, ce n'est pas cette adresse.
