Avoid like the plague. Was recommended by a local tour guide. 8 of us total dining. No menu cards for drinks, you basically have to ask and just hope they have what you want - took around 10 mins for 4 of us to get our drinks, another 10 minutes to come back and ask what we would like to eat - I ordered a simple spaghetti Bolognese, my boyfriend ordered grilled octopus and the couple sitting with us ordered anchovies - it took around 50 minutes for our food to even reach us, people who ordered way after us received theirs first, waitresses were rude, specifically the large lady with curly blonde hair - we received no apology for the lateness of our food, no service updates, no nothing. Same waitress who eventually remembered we existed brought us our food, said nothing and just simply dropped our plates in front of us - my boyfriends octopus was fine, but my spaghetti bolognese was barely warm - must have been cooking it by the strand one by one - the couple who was sitting with us, their cold anchovies were very minuscule and should not have waited the time they did to receive it. They also tried to flag (again the same waitress) down for another beer, but she simply ignored him and just shoved her hand in his face and walked away. She also ignored my boyfriend when he asked for the cheque so we could leave this tourist trap hellhole. Avoid if you value your time and money, cos these guys certainly do not. Spend your money elsewhere, it’s daylight robbery!
Mango juice was good though. Can’t say...
Read moreThe food is good, and the prices very reasonable, a good bottle dry white wine for €14.50. The gofio starter/snack was the best I’ve had. The service looks speedy and efficient on the surface, and considering how busy it is the food service was very efficient. But the general waiter service was about the worst I have seen in terms of looking after the clientele. Over a short lunch I watched them manage to upset 5 sets of people. They did this by reacting very strongly against anyone who asked for anything - the response was always « can’t you see I’m busy, why are you asking me, just wait ». One waiter was particularly bad at this, I watched him spend more time telling a customer they must wait than it would have taken to take his drinks order (one beer, he got managed to order it a long time later) Catching the eye of any staff was pretty impossible, so peopke were forced to call or signal, and then they were told to wait. I saw several tables asking again and again for the bill. I myself asked 3 waiters for the bill, over a period of 10 or 15 minutes, one of them twice, and in the end went inside to pay. 4 staff were there dealing with plates and glasses and left me standing to the last possible minute before one of them finally did my bill. Their washing-up counted for more than customer ‘satisfaction’. I was polite and smiley and said thankyou for a lovely meal, and indeed it was fascinating watching how they operate. I suspect a lot of people leave there...
Read moreTold to sit at a different table we wanted to sit at (don't know why) ordered bread and aioli ( when offered by waitress) and 2 coke zeros, brought 1 coke zero, 1 full sugar, surly waitress changed it for me but not happy. No snack menu just starters & main meals. Another waitress came to take order for meal which we didn't want as no snacks, again, she wasn't happy, snatched menu from the table. €1.50 for 1 bread roll and aioli each, not per portion. Can't comment on food as didn't have any but looking at what others were eating I didn't think it was value for money. Located on the beach front which is what your paying for. Wouldn't go again or recommend. The service was appalling. And put a seat on the ladies toilet...
