I stayed at Hotel Brisamar with my school in February. My friends and I weren't expecting much from the hotel as they are never very good on trips. ||Out of the 34 pupils on the trip (approx. 15 rooms) my room was the only one which we didn't need to complain about. Rooms were dirty, too cold and smelled something rotten. The windows do not close in some rooms and some had missing curtains. Eventually, we managed to get extra blankets which did help a little however many of the radiators were broken in the rooms. We also had problems with the water in the rooms. A lot of rooms had brown water that was often colder than the water we were drinking with meals. ||We ate in the hotel for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was a choice of left-over bread (from the night before), cornflakes and long life milk or pastries which were just about edible. The only drink there was was water, which came out of the machine hot (so hot steam came off it) and when they finally fixed the orange juice machine for us, it was sour. Dinner was around aobut the same. Every night there was fresh salad and chips. However, the chips often had been re-fried from the night before. The meat was often unidentifiable and we often mixed it up with fish. The pasta was unbelievably overcooked but was probably the nicest thing we had. The good thing was, none of our group were ill from the food.||However, the staff in the hotel were friendly and tried to help when they could. Only one of them spoke English (and very little of it) which made it difficult to communicate.||The hotel is in a fantastic location. The street is pedestrianised and the beach is only 5 minutes away. There are also many shops which include clothes, medicines and food (which is helpful when there isn't much to eat in the hotel!)||Overall I'd say the hotel was pretty much acceptable for a school trip but I wouldn't stay there...
