Restaurant Diagonal 1968 — Restaurant in Pineda de Mar

During a recent visit in Barcelona, I stayed with a friend at Sumus Hotel & Spa in Pineda de Mare (Outskirts of the city). For dinner, we came across this gem of a restaurant at a short distance from the hotel. It was truly a great and lucky find.

The food was beyond scrumptious, fresh seafood cooked to perfection. The servers were very friendly and pleasant, catering to ours, and all other patrons’, needs. Not to forget how reasonable the prices were, especially for the kind of food we ordered.

We were so pleased, we decided to go back again tonight for a taste of other choices on the menu.

A definite treat for the lucky ones who can...

I had the pleasure of visiting Diagonal several times during my vacation, and for me, it is truly the best restaurant in Pineda de Mar. The food, the atmosphere, and the warm service made every visit unforgettable.

A special thank you goes to Gerard, who served us with such kindness and attention – he made us feel very welcome and cared for. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye and thank the whole team in person... so I’m leaving this review instead.

Although I have suggested it I wasn't happy when ordering because they have no, not only one, vegetarian or vegan option besides salad on their menu. It's all about meat, meat and meat. C'mon, people, this is 2017, man eventually evolves, don't remain an outsider.

On the other hand, everybody - except me - was satisfied, one also had the vegetables with rice, which wasn't on the menu.

PS: Yes, that's right, 2017, I don't know why Google delayed releasing the review...
