I visited Giravolta with my family on 23/07/19 as we are staying at Duva and this was a treat for our final full day and oh my, what a treat this turned out to be.
The restaurant is beautiful and has a definite Mediterranean vibe. As we arrived we were given such a warm wonderful welcome by a lovely gentleman who throughout our visit was perfection itself, he made us feel at ease, comfortable and very welcome.
The restaurant decor is gorgeous in a really beautiful seating and some long tables for all the family to sit together. Within moments of entering the staff turned on the air conditioning which immediately dropped the temperature to a more comfortable one for eating as it was very hot day.
We ordered one pizza from the main menu but the rest of our order was from the snack menu. I ordered a Giravolta sandwich which was less than €7 which was chicken, cheese, fried egg and bacon in a warm ciabatta baguette and it was absolutely beautiful, probably in my top five sandwiches ever (that is no exaggeration). It was served with a small bowl of olives and we also ordered chips which were the real thing, not fake fries but real potato cooked in their skins and served in a basket. The sandwiches can be ordered either half size (about 6 inches)or complete (about 12 inches).
The pizza was about 12 inches across, authentic, looked gorgeous and my son who would normally only eat about half, enjoyed it, loved it and ate it all.
We also ordered two deserts both which were served on slate, the first was a homemade carrot cake served with homemade vanilla ice cream. The cake was nothing less than HUGE and tasted as good as it looked. The second desert was warm homemade chocolate cake served with cream, again it was a decent size and tasted perfect.
As the gentleman that welcomed us was leaving, he came over to say goodbye and said that we would be getting a 10% reduction on the bill as were were Duva guests. Together with drinks, we thought the price was reasonable, we will definitely return again for that sandwich and the...

We had a variety of starters - the bruschetta (duck with tomato and pistaschio) was especially good. Main: sea bass, two seafood dishes and a hamburger. Dessert: a sorbet and an absolutely scrummy tiramisu. Friendly and efficient service, the staff really are interested in their customers. The overall bill including drinks (the ladies had a lovely Mallorcan white wine called 'Mosaic') was just shy of 150 euros. Restaurants like this deserve to succeed so please...
Read moreVisited last year, food was nice. Came again this year and .. “sorry, kitchen is closed” despite all the opening hours there are “kitchen hours” which you won’t find anywhere. So, don’t waste your time. I really appreciate nice places but I also hate when being joked. Sorry, but we won’t try again next year.
Please, make your hours clear management! Don’t put your lack of professionalism on innocent staff.
Cheers
