Restaurante Pérez — Restaurant in Portomarín

Had late lunch at restaurant Pérez. Was a little embarrassed because I didn't know their 'waiting system'. When the tables are full, You stand in a line near the bar while having a drink (should you wish to) someone eventually will come and take your details. You might be turned away if the queue is too long.

The waiters were chaotically busy serving a full restaurant, communicated in English if you weren't able to speak Spanish and there was English on the menu. Pilgrim's menu wasn't there when we were there and the price was different to the ones on Google. Menu was outside so there wouldn't be a confusion

Otherwise food was decent, Octopus was an unique experience for me and their dessert (pineapple pie and cheesecake)...

Restaurante Pérez is located just off Portomarin main pedestrian street, thus allowing a much quieter and more relaxed dining experience than many other restaurants in the village. The place is simple but has a warm atmosphere and customers are both locals and pilgrims. Our hotel recommended Restaurante Perez. We arrived for a late lunch, and they were busy! Definitely a fun, active atmosphere. If you don't have a reservation, you queue up at the bar and they seat you in order. Seems a bit chaotic because is so busy, but the staff works hard and are on it!
