I had this restaurant on my shortlist from prior research and it was also recommended by the hotel owner where we were staying.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and the service was as good as any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Just the right balance between efficiency and friendliness. The lamb chops were nothing short of spectacular. Many years ago I had the same in Abruzzo and never thought they could be matched. Well they have been now! Absolutely amazing flavour. So different from what we get back home. The dessert was Mason, a cooked meringue with custard and a caramel. It was great. And I haven’t even mentioned the view. Book a table on the terrace above the river and you’ll have a view of the old town and the mountains. Wonderful.

Everything our group ordered was absolutely delicious, the setting was lovley and the price more thsn fair. I cannot recommend tgis place enough. We had the zamburiñas, the gambas, the goat cheese salad, the pulpo, the chuleton de ternera, the bacalao and the sea bass and no tone dish fell short. The portions are large so sharing is recommend, especially for the chuleton which was almost a kilo. I would recommend the canonigo de potes dessert - it was a real crowd pleaser. Open air very good tasting food and short wait times for the food. The workers were very polite and communicative. I would personally recommend siting outside in the back seat to get fresh air and a nice view of the breathtaking mountains. I would also suggest getting the octopus as a starter because it’s one of their specials and don’t forget dessert because it is very well tasting and well sized.
