NEPO CAFE - Speciality Coffee — Restaurant in Pozuelo de Alarcón

If you blink, you’ll miss it. It’s a tiny coffee shop on the side of the road with a small parking lot and tons of seating. The menu is fairly extensive with different styles of coffee and food items such as tostados and other tapas as well as delicious pastries (I can attest to the pastries). The entire menu is relatively cheap and the staff is friendly. In fact, one of the ladies helped us out by speaking English.

The place is clean and good for working if you need to get away from home or the office. They also have bags of coffee for takeaway and different types and styles of mugs and tumblers.

Complicated to give a rate to this place. For me it’s a 2.5 and I ll explain why. Ambience is a 10, super clean and very nice to see. You perceive the quality and details attention Waitress are super nice and polite so it’s also a 10. What I didn’t like was the coffee. For me was a 1.. tasted acid and bad. Also I had to wait too much for a coffee. (~10m) The taste was not was expected from a place like this one. Empiezo por el final de mi pésima y última experiencia de hoy. La foto que subo es de la tostada de 7,3 euros que he pedido repito SOLO LA TOSTADA (1 unidad) 7,3 euros. El pan frio, el tomate helado y el jamón malo. Esto ha sido lo que peor me ha sentado pero sigo contando: hemos pedido un café solo y un matcha latte, el café me lo han puesto con leche (todo el mundo se puede equivocar no pasa nada y estaban dispuestos a cambiármelo) pero la leche estaba mala y para ser un sitio de especialidad no me han preguntado ni tipo de café ni cargas etc…. Después hemos pedido la tostada de jamón (la de la foto), un pan brioche con jamón York de 8 euros y un cinnamon roll. Nos hemos sentado y han traído los cafes. Ok. Tras un rato esperando hemos preguntado que si por lo menos nos podrían poner el cinnamon roll mientras vienen las tostadas, nos han dicho ¿aún no os las han puesto? Pista: se les había olvidado el cinnamon y las tostadas. Después, nos dan el cinnamon, se notaba que no era de hoy. Tras otro rato esperando viene la tostada (adjunta en la foto que ya he comentado) y el brioche (este estaba bueno pero al igual que el cinnamon, el pan no era de hoy). Con la comida mediocre y de mala calidad no entiendo los precios ni cómo el sitio tiene un 4,5 de puntuación. Entre ilusionada por probar el café y llevarme una bolsita para mi cafetera y me fui con un gran cabreo! Total del desayuno: 27 euros!
