A very pleasant hotel in the centre of town. My satnav took me round in circles because of the pedestrianisation so best take a print extract from a Google street map with you. ||Immediate street parking is difficult and if you do park nearby be aware that you’ll have to move your car before 9.30 am. I eventually found free street parking in a square not far away but I would recommend you book the hotel’s parking if it’s available as spaces are not easy to come by.||The reception and small courtyard were colonially quaint and the staff friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and despite overlooking the narrow street, very quite.||I was there on Sunday night and could only find one restaurant open nearby so I had a meal at a table in the hotel bar along with a number of locals and enjoyed it very much.||I’m never very keen to stay in town centre hotels (parking difficulties, traffic congestion & noise, usually more expensive etc.) but this was a great little family run hotel at a reasonable price in a very convenient spot to be able to stroll around this...

Read moreWe travelled by bus, from Malaga to Lucena, Lucena to Priego.||Plane to Malaga from UK was 4 hours late, so the bus journeys did not connect and we had an unscheduled overnight stop in Lucena. Nevertheless an enjoyable and exciting journey. Now Hostal Rafi - just brilliant, stayed 2 nights. ||||Room great.||Shower huge,||Air con brilliant,||Bar very good||Restaurant fantastic. Food brilliant, wine fantastic.||Location very good, interesting, charming, central and easy to get to all parts of Priego||Hostal charming.||Staff charming.||Actually, a perfecr stay.||Really much more than an Hostal, the hub of the town. ||We've stayed in Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Cadiz, Madrid for 3 or 4 days each year.||Priego is a condensed, small version of these, and much nicer. A wonderful experience...
