Doña Juana — Restaurant in Punta Umbría

Not that it should ever be expected but this was the first place we found on our holiday that had an online English version of their menu. This we were actually super grateful for as some nights we were taking up to half an hour just to decipher the choices.(most places 90% fish but good variety here)

They were very generous to us as we actually arrived 10 mins after the kitchen closed and they didn’t push or rush us to make choices.

Also the first place to receive beer in iced glasses which was a lovely touch! We do not have children but this venue has great deals of food which kids would actually enjoy that includes a pudding!

My partner and I are typically carnivore eaters so to find a restaurant that air dries its meat was lush.

Everything we ate was delicious and full in flavour. We started with tapas of meatballs and spicy tatties, veg fresh and sauce so yummy I used the bread to finish every drop. We then went onto the steak which when arrived didn’t have a sauce but that’s because no sauce was needed at all!

Although we had a slight language barrier all the staff were extremely polite, smiley and well presented. As we had came from the beach we did not have a great deal of clothing on but was not forced to put any on. Great decor plus massive fans pushing out mist that my partner decided to dance in front of making a waiter laugh.

Al llegar el trato fue fabuloso, pero a medida que iba pasando el rato fue cambiando la cosa, camareros cada vez te atendía uno distinto, le pedimos que si tenían variado de Pescado Frito y nos dicen que si, al no venir en la carta preguntamos el precio y nos dicen 12€ por ración, nuestra sorpresa pasado de frito que estaba, el adobo sin limpiar, una auténtica pasada no dábamos credito y si observáis el ticket 16,50€, pedimos 2 menús de niño, en la carta entra el refresco, plato a elegir, postre y regalo, pues en la cuenta los refrescos a parte, y para colmo le pedimos media ración de gambas, según el camarero buenísimas de Punta Umbria y tenía más de langostino Hacendado que de gamba de Huelva, y nos pone ración entera 12 contadas 26€ valla estacada en toda regla, le pedimos 2 radler para terminar y viendo que no vienen le volvemos a preguntar y nos dice ahora mismo, a la media hora lo llamo y me dice pues yo las he pedido total un auténtico caos,bueno pues no lo recomiendo para nada, am y se me olvidaba le digo al camarero que si el es el dueño que quiero hablar con el dueño y su contestación me fue, si yo fuera el dueño estaba esto ya más que cerrado😱 nos quedamos en fin no vuelvo a ir ni de invitado, ahora dejo imagen de lo que me trajo de ticket y los tachujones que le hizo que menos mal que lo revise si no 9€ por la carita ya que tube que pagar la ración habiéndole pedido media. Que el reconoció haberse equivocado pero como nos comimos 12 gambitas pues 26€ madre...
