A Horta de San Roque — Restaurant in Ribadeo

I went for a lunch with my family while on holidays. The place is a beautiful restaurant with a impressive terrace in the rear. The weather was hot the day we went for lunch so seating there was pretty cool. The food was amazing and the waiting staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and we had a very lovely time. I have to say that I was positively impressed with the food quality. We had some croquettes and squid to started, followed by their specialty “arroz caldoso”, that is a wet rice dish with seafood (lobster). We loved it. The dessert wasn’t bad either, and one of them was a special remembering for the head chef grandparents as the dessert represents them. I thought it was pretty cool having that special touch celebrating his family’s names. All the experience was great and I fully recommend the place for a special occasion or to go with friends or family. Hemos venido a este restaurante a comer un menu diario. Pregunte si vendian medio menú me dijeron que si. Entramos y ya empezando la chica que nos atendio "YOLANDA" nos miro de arriba abajo...pues estamos reformando un piso que tenemos en ribadeo y por esto ibamos con ropa de trabajo manchados de pintura. Pedimos un menú completo y del otro solo el primer plato que era potaje de garbanzos. Con la tan mala suerte que llevaba pescado y no puedo comerlo. A todo esto Yolanda la Camarera no nos quitaba el ojo de encima y se daba la vuelta haciendo comentarios a su compañera . Me parece un comportamiento inadecuado. Cuando se terminó el primer plato nos recogieron los platos cubiertos como es natural. Le pusieron a mi marido su segundo plato y el al ver que no comi mi primer plato me ofrecio del suyo . Pedi un tenedor a Yolanda y me dijo que no . Que los menus no se compartian. Mi marido al ver la reacción de ella pidio que entonces por favor le pusiera el segundo para llevar puesto que al llegar preguntamos si lo menus se podían llevar diciendo ella que si. Nos respondio que NO . Que no se podian llevar los menús servidos. Que era la disposición de su jefe . Me parece una pauperrima atención y sobre todo una falta de profesionalidad . Un cliente merece un respeto asi vaya vestido con ropa de trabajo eso no quiere decir que no se pueda pagar un menú diario . Luego pedimos la cuenta y el menu completo eran 12 euros pues nos cobraron 22 y lo que yo comi fue el postre y la bebida de un medio menú que no comi. Una vergüenza. La comida puede estar muy bien pero si la atención esta llena de prejuicios y falta de profesionalidad hacen que sea una experiencia nefasta. Anexo...

The decor is good and the restaurant looks lovely on the inside. The starter of croquetas was a bit oily but the main of churrasco was tasty, if a bit too salty, with the sweetest grilled pepper I have eaten in a while. The dessert of flan de queso, I am sorry to say, was horrendous. The caramel was burnt and bitter and I could not stand eating it.
