Havaco Café — Restaurant in Rincón de la Victoria

We ordered a chicken sandwich which was supposed to come with an egg, chips and russian salad according to the menu we were given, which was priced at 6 euros. It came without an egg or the salad. When the bill came it was 7 euros more than it should have been. When we queried the bill we were told it was an old menu and the price had gone up. We argued that we should pay the price on the menu we were given, but not only that, they had charged us for a more expensive burger which also came with bacon and cheese. We were made to feel in the wrong. The staff were very rude and we eventually asked for the police to be called as several men came over and started to become quite threatening. They didn't like us complaining, and told us to shut up in front of the other customers. Eventually they threw a revised bill on the table. We again refused to pay it as they were still charging us for the more expensive burger. Finally we were given the right bill and we paid. We waited for the police. When they arrived they tried to say we had asked for an English menu and they had been printed the year before which is why we had been charged more. But once we explained to the police that we had lived in Spain for 10 years and had spoken to them in Spanish, they told us if we had any further problems, to contact them. The staff had obviously heard us speaking English and thought we were tourists and could rip us off. A nice place to catch a soccer match while having a drink and with your friends. Havaco has multipl televisions and lots of people show up to watch the world cup matches. What a wonderful afternoon we had. Totally unexpected as we only popped in for one originally. The service was absolutely outstanding. We've been on the road in our motorhome for 3 years and the hospitality we had here was the best ever. The service was second to none, very welcoming and friendly.
