Restaurante Porunbeso — Restaurant in Roquetas de Mar

I have never been treated so terribly in my whole life! We came in at about 19:40 with two young kids and hoping to eat something. We were completely ignored by the whole staff. I approached the bar to order and was informed that the kitchen didn’t open til 20:00 for orders. Meanwhile, we watched tables being served a variety of food, toast, sandwiches, etc. At 20:00 I approached the bar again to order the tapas we wanted and was informed that the kitchen would not open for another 15-20 min. I inquired about the table that was being served toasts with cheese/etc and the barman told me that they had ordered previously and that they were no longer available (not on the menu, perhaps they are friends or acquaintances?)... immediately after telling me that, I saw a waiter bring out another toast to another table. I have two kids, yes! But they are little human beings who deserve to eat as well. I have never left an establishment feeling more upset about the treatment. I have nothing but ill words for this terribly run, rude...

We arrived there for a simple breakfast of 2 toasts, coffee and orange juice...we waited 30 min as they forgot our order (there weren't many people there and people that arrived 10 min after us received everything. Service with no smile or manners. The toast eventually arrived and was wrong with tomato that we didn't ask for and weren't mentioned in the menu. The menus and tables were super dirty and sticky which shows about the cleanliness of the place. We gave back that toast, the waitress didn't even ask what was wrong and just left with the toast. We didn't order another one and escaped from this place. Such a shame that a gorgeous place like that on the beach provides such poor food and service. Not...

This place is underrated. It should have more stars here on Google review. I give it 5 stars for it's amazing, well prepared and cooked quality food. You get a variety of choices and an option to drink and have tapas or have a proper lunch or dinner. Their dorado and lubina salveja was by far the best grilled fish ive tried here in Almería so far. And the Ensalada Puerto was so fresh and flavourful! To top it off you get a nice view of the beach! Also a special mention to one of the servers Antonio who was really friendly he even chatted with my partner and i for a bit about his amazing trip to my home country, Philippines.
