Pizzeria Ristorante Marechiaro Rambla — Restaurant in Roses

We, went today, January 25.2024 to this Pizzeria. The first Contact with the Lady, who was leading us in, was friendly. We ordered 2 Pizzas. My wife ordered the Chicken Pizza. When we tried her Pizza, we immediately disliked it extremely. First, there were no pieces of Chicken Meat to find. The Meat that was on it, looked like CANNED CAT FOOD. And it tasted like gone bad as well. When we inspected the pieces, it showed, that each piece was NOT made from 1 piece of Chicken, as expected, but cut out from hundreds of Chicken Parts and then pressed into a square like shape. Simply DISGUSTING! It tasted nothing like Chicken we ever experienced, it had a bad smell and taste to it. I am not picky, since I was in the Special Forces and I was used to eat dead Roadkill and such. But even I could not continue to eat it. When letting them know about this, the Pizzaiolo said, yes it's THEIR VERSION OF A CHICKEN. We looked at him for some replacement but he said nothing. When paying, the price of the not eatable Pizza was on the bill too. No apology, no making it good, full Price and now better go. Even the Lady who lead us in, maybe the Manager? Did not show up? We don't want freebies, but if it is only OVER PROCESSED FOOD, then the will to save a Buck went too far. We will never go back no more. Besides it is an extremely thin dough, with too much Oil as well....

Keep coming back here, as it's a real bargain so if you want value for money don't hesitate. Nice warm room inside which you can't see from outside, or lovely shady terrace in summer. Real Italians working there and everyone busy cooking or serving which is always a good sign. Little touches like fresh bread hot from the oven, super Italian espresso to end, pannacotta for the set menu dessert.... Very well priced set menu for lunch, and they always do something beyond just pizzas. Super place. Just to be avoided if big groups of children having birthday parties which there often are. Chapeau...

It's my regular place and my second home when I visit Roses! I used to go there with my son almost every day.. I would like to express my gratitude to this beautiful place starting with the food and its excellent quality, moving on to the well-mannered, kind and dedicated staff who serve the customers and are always smiling and in harmony in serving, creating this combination a wonderful experience for everyone who visited this restaurant and makes them come back with love..
