Cafè Central Salou — Restaurant in Salou

We were there this morning and last night. Food was ok but my experience was terrible. I felt really ill and faint while I was there and my husband asked for a glass of water. He also asked if they could turn on the air conditioner for a bit. The waiter said in a minute and he disappeared. It was morning, it wasn't crowded or anything. He came back 10 mins later, we had left our phone on the table (we had moved in front of the air conditioners which didn't work), he just said you left your phone here. My husband said "I told you my wife was unwell and asked you for a glass of water 10 minutes ago". He just shook his head and disappeared again. This was an English speaking waiter by the way.

Just the fact that they don't turn on their air conditioners show they don't really care. They were set at 30 degrees and it was very uncomfortably hot. A very small, much more modest cafe down the road always have their air conditioners on. I've never encountered this sort of dismissive, uncaring attitude anywhere else...

I came here with my 9yr old daughter recently and had food & drinks for breakfast. Service was quick, staff attentive and food was good.

Then today I decided to sit in with my 7 yr old son & order drinks. We were told to sit wherever & not given menus. My son was being a bit loud because he is Autistic and was looking for his iPad to calm him. I tried in vain to get the attention 2 different staff members to get menus and the WiFi password. I tried to call a staff member who walked past & blatantly ignored me twice so we just left. As I sat there I watched every other customer get seated with their menus, have their order taken & not be ignored like we were, even people who came after us.

We just left in the end because I found out treatment extremely rude. Also to be clear my son wasn't shouting & screaming, he just didn't once at the start because he wanted the WiFi on his iPad.

Anyway, don't recommend if you have children who behave in any way different. Disappointing, would never return...

We came here in the end of september around 16:30. It wasn't really busy. The food is eatable but the service was terrible. You can definitely see the difference of service they provide between the tourist and locals.

It took them almost 25 minutes and asking 4 times to 3 different servers until we got the bill. While they had time talking and joking with each other. When we asked for the beer we ordered that they definitely forgot because my drink they already brought, he reacted very irritated and then brought us a completely different beer then we ordered. They didn't bother to provide us the service we expected. There was only 1 that gave us a welcoming treatment, while the rest if them looked like they are almost burned out... They all know that they will receive enough customers because they are indeed laying very central. But I strongly recommend to walk a little bit further to find somewhere else to...
