El Mirador de Tunte — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Im not sure why i gave 2 star for this restaurant. The view is nice and the dip for the bread too. But thats it. We was here as a bus tour trip. Not sure if we get a special treatment because of this or this is the original quality of the restaurant but i would recomend to avoid this place. The wine we got was horrible and there was a thin layer of water on top. The bread wasn't fresh and even the coke is rather sitting there for a good couple of year or it was put together from leftovers cus the bottle seal was already broken. The cutlery and glasses are dirty as well as the tablecloth. We had soup, chiken and fish. Not sure where to start. Soup looked like vomit but at least doesn't taste like one. It was tasteless as well as the rest of the other meals. Chicken and the fish was chewy and not fresh and no seasoning at all... they served some salad on the side and boiled potatos in skin. The salad was watery and the potato was okay-ish the best i can go with. One waiter was careless and rude who served us. This was the second and last time i ate with a bus tour trip. My wife spotted this place and we stopped for a late lunch. I'm so glad we did. A beautiful little restaurant on the cliff side with incredible views, but the real standout feature was the timeless beauty of this restaurant with a lovely family atmosphere and rustic charm. The staff were warm, welcoming and so friendly it felt like going for a drink at your, "Local." Then there is the food. We had squid, steak, and locally reared pork ribs, all absolutely superb. The ribs were so enormous that myself and my son could barely finish them. You get one full, massive rib chop presented like a tomahawk steak on black slate with beautifully fresh seasonal salad vegetables and chips. It was so good I had to go and thank the chef afterwards. Definitely the best meal I've had in Gran Canaria yet, possibly one of the best I've had anywhere. Wonderful restaurant, lovely staff, great chef and really excellent food.
