IXO TAPAS & BAR — Restaurant in San Roque

Overpriced fiasco from start to finish. We went to watch the equestrian show (which was brilliant to be fair) but the shambles of IXO was really disappointing. The service was dreadful and the food took ages and didn’t arrive until I went to reception to complain. 30 mins for a bottle of wine to arrive and there was a manager gentleman who didn’t seem to know what day of the week it was, the girl from reception had to come and sort everything out. The food was average at best but at those prices they should be serving Michelin Starred food not €12 euros for 1 mini bite size slider burger - and tapas (food for sharing) why serve only 1? Very disappointing considering the setting is lovely but will not be returning anytime soon as they didn’t seem remotely bothered trying to make amends by offering us anything after the own admission by one of the waiters it was “...

Do not recommend. The bartender asked us go trust in him to make a good cocktail, he proceeded to make me a specific cocktail I didn’t want with a 10€ bottle of flavoured gin…. The cocktails was not good, and when I pointed out it wasn’t as sweet as I asked for it to be, he looked at me badly and put some purée and ice right into my coupe glass without shaking it….
