Visited the ClubHouse last rainy Thursday afternoon for a beer or two with my wife. Sure enough lunch was served at the same time, but was both surprised and disappointed to be treated like a second class customer. With few exceptions, the staff were unengaged, not to say outright dismissive. Despite the fact that there were plenty of free tables both centrally and by the windows, we were directed to a table at the far end of a dark corner with absolutely no view. The result was a beer each and some olives at a well-adjusted price, it could very well have been more with a better treatment. Despite the delightful location and vista, the food at this 5-star hotel was disappointing in both quality and value. The service was inconsistent, sometimes abrupt and awkward. For instance, the addition of 4 cherry tomatoes to the Caesar salad at €3 and a 1/4 of an avocado simply sliced at €3 was surprising. The hamburgers were prepared with buns and patties that could be purchased in a supermarket, with an ordinary accompanying salad, which was again surprising for a hotel of this type.
