Sa Cova del Sol — Restaurant in Sant Lluís

Had our last dinner here and the location was great. Food is fantastic and all but one waiter were really nice. One guy seemed a bit too laid back so that it appeared he couldn't be bothered. Gave the impression that we were an inconvenience. When we ordered another dish because we were still hungry it took ages to be told that there wasn't any left. Hard to believe and more like it was to much hassle. Spent over 350 Euros and not offered any after dinner shot. Every restaurant apart from this one offered this as an appreciation for spending a lot of money. Pity really, could have been the perfect last night dinner.

In response to the restaurant's reply: This is a typical defensive reply from a restaurant that has forgotten that the customers are paying for a good service and thinks that I should be the one respecting them! There were 9 in our group and 5 were children who eat a lot less. I'm not saying shots are mandatory but every restaurant we ate at offered it as a nice gesture as we had spent a lot of money. It was always a nice touch and made a nice meal perfect. If the owners are interested in what customers think then take on board comments and always try to improve. If you think you're perfect and don't need to improve then fine that's your issue not mine. It was the attitude of the waiter when we tried to order an extra starter not the fact it had ran out. We were told that if we want something else we had to say now as the chef was busy and they had other customers! Are we not customers too? Is our money not good enough? Made us feel like a nuisance. Won't come back and won't recommend to anyone either!...

Very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. As a foreign customer, I felt completely disrespected. We were the first to arrive, but they kept moving us from table to table just to prioritize their local guests. The service was rude and unprofessional and clearly didn't care about our comfort. The food was below average and definitely not worth the price. Drinks were just okay. Overall, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place to anyone expecting decent service or fair treatment.

If I hadn’t truly experienced this bad treatment at your restaurant, why would I bother looking for your address or taking the time to write a review? This platform exists for customers to share their honest experiences — good or bad — and I have every right to express mine.

Instead of denying and silencing negative feedback, maybe take it as an opportunity to improve. The fact that you want to delete my review says a lot, perhaps that’s why you have 4.6 stars: by removing honest criticism rather than addressing it. That kind of reaction only confirms the lack of respect I experienced...

This was the best food we ate whilst we were on the island by far. The grill meat was cooked very well and was succulent. The fried chicken starter was a bit KFC like, but there was no complaint and we ate it all. The sour dough bread was okay, but not much bread to it. Staff were friendly but not very attentive to our table, firstly they took my knife and fork following starters and i had to get up and get my own, then finished dishes were not cleared for ages and we were just left sitting waiting for maybe 15 minutes before we could ask for the bill. It feels like a new start up business, its a nice location but the restaurant felt a bit ‘thrown together’ mix mash of chairs and tables all under fir cone trees where pigeons were roosting and humping!… with no protection! So you can imagine what could fall from above. I think there is room for improvement that could take it to the next level and make it into a really nice atmospheric Minorcan restaurant, but as it went, it was our favourite restaurant...
