We should have known, the signs were there: only old people on the terrace (probably with dead tastebuds or used to food they were served during the famine in 1904-1906) and some lost tourists or people who forgot make a reservation next door. Service was fast and friendly, although I was surprised the waitress never heard of cava (the spanish champagne, red) But then our food came. We opted for some patatas bravas (drowning in grease and aioli) , pulpo a la gallega ( way too chewy squid) champiñones (also too chewy), and croquetas de jamon (greasy and a funny chemical taste) Not 1 dish lived up to the expectation. I would not even recommend this place if you were Jesus coming back from the desert after 40days...

Also local government really appreciate this place for lunch. It is perfect serving everything which you can get exclusive in this place, and a majority from local guides sit outside willing to help you to get some hospitalty in this small town when it is late in the day ... The only thing disappointing is they serve any food after noon, inside it is full from elderly local people drinking...

The anchovies on toast is wonderful but the croquet with ham is very mushy and I found was too much after 3 of them. The calamari romana was a bit greasy too. The service was very good. We were asked for our drinks within a few minutes of sitting and the food was quite quick to come out too. The young waitress seemed very alert of anybody...
