I have previously visited Casa Martell, and have recommended many people to travel here to experience culinary delights and fantastic service.
When I'm finally in Las Palmas again now, i was really looking forward to enjoying good food at Casa Martell again, and took the bus today and was there at about 1:15 p.m today.
Was met by a grumpy and unfriendly guy who said I wasn't allowed to sit in the restaurant because i was only one person.
I could sit at the narrow bar in the hallway. He said it was normal not to get a table inside the restaurant when you were only one person. I say i have never heard of anything like this, and felt discriminated against because i came alone. If you are traveling alone, i unfortunately do not recommend going here.
I was really looking forward to visit Casa Martell, but this was so disappointing that i just went out again, and took the bus back to Las Palmas.
What has happened to the good and warm welcome i received from Antonio last time i was there? Then I also was alone, and received fantastic service...
Read moreThis is THE PLACE to visit in LPA, we literally adore this place, their food, their atmosphere and specially the decor. Little background: I had lived in over tens of countries and most of the biggest capitals in the planet. Have eaten in food trucks and many many Michelin star restaurants and in some of the 50 best bars in the world. Now we live here and we have an holiday accommodation business and we always visit places to recommend places to our quality guests, and here is the place where you will find quality, amazing service and definitely not the efin’ “papas arrugadas” that I’m sick of it! Here you will find great authentic canarian food without been fooled by the cheap normal restaurant where your will eat poor quality, also the extensive amount of wines this place has is second to non! Don’t spect to be seated at the drop of a hat! This is a place to slow down, relax enjoy a nice glass of wine while you wait to be seated and that is their ritual and I thoroughly love it and it’s how show be a restaurant.
Highly...

So why the three stars? It’s all thanks to the people and the atmosphere. The staff and owners are genuinely wonderful — warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the place. And the setting is something special: the restaurant feels like a history museum, spread across three levels and packed with fascinating artifacts, books, and vintage decor. It’s a unique experience that almost makes up for the...
