Only looking up this place for the first time and seeing the reviews. I can only judge this shop on personal experience. Twice we had eaten locally and were looking for an ice-cream to eat in the sun. We saw an extremely attractive exterior with interesting products inside. Most importantly, we met a wonderful lady which I presume was mamá Conchita. When cashing out our ice creams and drinks, she calculated the total using pen and paper. I immediately understood that only cash was going to work here. I told the lady that her store was beautiful. She understandably only spoke Spanish but wrote on her notepad that she was 84. She explained that she had children and grandchildren but that papa was finito 🥹. She was so sweet and I sometimes think people are mixing up tradition with modern convenience. I will return every time if it means I can say hola to mamá Conchita. We could have spent all day chatting to that...
Read moreOne of the few places open in St. Lucia on a Monday. For home cooked food we doubt you could do better. I had the mildly curried rabbit stew and my husband had the goat stew. The portions were decent sizes and served with proper chips, not from a packet, crispy outside soft inside like chips should be. The restaurant, bar is a basic unpretentious cafe there for locals to come and have a drink as well as passing tourists. It serves Canarian dishes for around 10 to 14 euro and other more touristy choices too for very slightly more. The owner served us with great jollity and friendliness and no English but her menu is written in several languages. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There is parking by the restaurant on the street. You can eat inside which looked clean but not very inviting or on their terrace which was spacious enough and comfortable but sadly without views of the...
