Restaurante Rincón Casa Antonio — Restaurant in Santa Lucía de Tirajana

Today, 5 October 2023, we decided, 4 people, to stop in the restaurant Rincón Casa Antonio located in small town of Santa Lucia de Tirajana, Gran Canaria for have a dinner. Very bad choice😩 ! Seen from the outside, the restaurant may appear attractive, but the experience we have had has been totally negative. Inside it was unbearably hot, background music that was repeated every half hour, always the same, obsessive. The plates and glasses that were already on the table were covered in dust and were not changed when the food and drink were served to us. We were served by a waiter, a bald man who did not understand a word of English, extremely invasive and incompetent, with a blatantly fake smile. The women's bathroom was more or less clean but it was not possible to close the door from the inside. The wine (red) that they served us gave the four diners a severe headache. The food they propose as homemade and typical Canarian food is nothing like what they say. It is the typical junk food that you can eat in Spain in any 2-star hotel. We spent a month on the island and visited this restaurant twice ,both experiences were simply unforgettable. The place is so beautifully designed and refined that it feels like dining in a high-end metropolitan venue, yet with the warmth of the island. The food is a truly an explosion of tastes, prepared with outstanding ingredients and great attention to detail. This is the best dinner I’ve had in Gran Canaria -ever! The Entrecôte was amazing, the side dishes were great and the dessert was spectacular! And if that wasn’t enough the location is breathtaking, the servers are amazing and the overall vibe of the restaurant is great!
