Moomba Beach Café — Restaurant in Santa Margalida

The food was good and fairly priced (especially the chicken wings). However the service was not the greatest.

Our waiter (male, bald hair and tattoos) was not welcoming from the start. When asking for the menu or water for our dog, he paused with hesitation - almost as if he didn’t want to serve us.

When giving us our menus, he would toss it on the table, same as with the dog bowl (or in this case just a large bucket for a small dog which is nonsensical).

He was just rude and kind of drained the beautiful energy of the location and relaxing beach tunes playing from the speakers.

Fortunately, he was a lot happier and welcoming by the end which made me happy as well :) maybe he was just...

Seit einigen Jahren haben wir diese schöne kleine Bar regelmäßig besucht. Heute war das leider der letzte Besuch. Die Bude ist unverhältnismäßig teuer geworden, die Qualität und Quantität entspricht aber nicht den erhöhten Preisen. Der Service war auch nicht mehr so wie gewohnt; offensichtlich fand hier ein Eigentümerwechsel statt, denn die schöne Chill,- Samba,-Salsamusik ist auch Geschichte. Nur noch der Kommerzscheiss an Musik der überall in schlechten Bars läuft. Zum Schluss hat dann die Bedienung, als wir nach der Rechnung fragten, die Gläser mitgenommen, die noch nicht ganz ausgetrunken waren. Schon alles bisschen merkwürdig: Teuer, keine coole und chillige Musik mehr und Bedienung, die offenbar nicht das richtige Gespür für Gäste hat; schade! Die Bar hat wirklich schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Desde hace algunos años, hemos visitado este pequeño y bonito bar con regularidad. Hoy, lamentablemente, ha sido nuestra última visita. El local se ha vuelto desproporcionadamente caro, pero la calidad y la cantidad no se corresponden con el aumento de los precios. El servicio tampoco era el habitual; evidentemente, ha habido un cambio de propietario, porque la agradable música chill, samba y salsa también es cosa del pasado. Ahora solo suena la mierda comercial que se escucha en todos los bares malos. Al final, cuando pedimos la cuenta, la camarera se llevó los vasos que aún no habíamos terminado. Todo era un poco extraño: caro, sin música agradable y relajante y con un servicio que, al parecer, no sabe tratar a los clientes; ¡una pena! El bar realmente ha vivido...

We spent a week in Son Serra as a group of 8 and stumbling across Moomba’s on the first day was a blessing. The most friendly staff and a beautiful scenic view of the sea. We tried a lot of the menu with the nachos, chicken salad and chicken wraps being the most popular between us. Even after visiting Can Picafort and Alcudia, non of the bars came close to Moomba’s! A must visit for anyone in the area and we’d come back in a heartbeat just to enjoy some cold pints there with their wonderful staff! Long Live...
