Have visited twice now and the food is fantastic. In fact the second time was even better! We had a selection of starters, beginning with an octopus potato onion and mayonnaise salad that was as good to look at as it tasted. Beef carpaccio with sun dried tomato, Parmesan, a few salad leaves and dressed with olive oil followed. This had capers too, which I’m not keen on, but they’re easy to push to one side. Next was breaded chicken fillets with honey and mustard sauce. They were a touch salty on the night we visited, but were very tasty all the same. Finally the calamari arrived and it was a revelation. Presented in strips rather than the more usual circles, it had a wonderful light batter. There’s some tough competition in Santa Pola, but this calamari is hard to beat. This isn’t the cheapest restaurant in town, but it’s far from the most expensive either. The table settings and food all scream quality and this restaurant deserved to be much busier than it was...

At first we were greeted with a little hostility, I believe it was because we were judged as ignorent tourists without a reservation. But that quickly disappeared when we began speaking the very basics in Spanish.
It is a slightly upmarket place. Really nice meal. We got a buretta salad, vegan burgers, and Brazillian cheese bites. The chips were a little undercooked, but we didn't mind. Service was friendly after our initial interaction, and were very accomidating with requests.
