The food here was alright! An old woman was cooking. The service tho, was terrible! I never saw anything like this. First no one helped us when we were looking for a place and signaled the staff we wanted to eat here, so we needed to go inside and try to get their attention. A staff member said hello and then just left us. I needed to ask to people if we can sit outside. When we were ordering the lady wanted us to order some bread for €3. She didn't of course ask us if we want it. I know this kind of places so I asked her about it. The food arrived almost one hour after we ordered. That was already disappointing. The biggest problem was that the lady taking our order told me wrong things and later it seemed that she couldn't understand English at all! It looked a little bit faked as if she didn't wanted to help us. She told me that my dish included French fries so I wanted to change them to baked potatoes. I asked her if they will charge extra for it and she said no. Later when we wanted to pay the charges for it. It was not so big of a portion and the wanted €5.50 for it. For me it was to much. The only staff member that was able to talk English was angry at the situation and was aggressively making some drinks. She was done with the situation and didn't want to help us so we were left with some Spanish guys that had no idea what i was talking about. At the end we didn't pay for the extra portion. I find it very disturbing that they want the start a fight with you about it instead of fixing the problem. At the end of the day...
Read moreHaving lived in Mallorca for 4 years I am no longer worried about the service. It is consistently terrible. So I no longer care. That being said, I was very very pleasantly surprised when one of my good friends bought me here specifically to have the seafood soup (paella but as a soup) first obviously the olives, bread and Ali Oli very traditional mallorquin bread, not exactly soft and very basic as far as flavour is concerned but when it’s good it’s really good. And this particular bread was very good! Then a classic plate of padron pimientos that came with a salt dish so you can dip them in (YUM!!!!!) still very basic mallorquin food but done exactly how it should. And THEN the soup!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness. I can still taste it, perfectly salty seafood soup heavy on the saffron and big generous prawns, langoustine, mussels, clams and chunks of squid and a beautiful hot broth! Absolutely outstanding! Don’t come here for the touristy quick eats. Sit down and eat a real mallorquin meal and wash it down with a local hierbas and walk away happy as...
Read moreI unfortunately forgot to take a photo of the dishes. Well, I asked for fish recommendations from 3 meals I liked. I was told that the Seabass is coming with grilled veggies and potatoes. I chose that one. When the dish came I wanted to laugh as it came with one potatoe and one tomatoe cut in halfs. 🤣 The seabass was delicious, garlic salt and herbs, however, not fulfilling... 😔 we were a bit dissapointed when we paid for calamari, the seabass and two Shandies €45, and both were still hungry. 😅 😳 ☝️ The one good thing is, I saw iced coffees with ice cream at one table, and it looked delicious as well as the...
