This looks like the place that respects only regular customers. We waited for 40 To 60 minutes for the table and no one mentioned to us that kitchen closes in 15 minutes when we finally sat down. If your customers sit there for 3 hours and expect that to be an average time to spend at the restaurant wouldn’t you tell them they only have 15 minutes to order all of the food they wanted to try? I doubt that’s the service they would get. From what I’ve seen plate arrived one at a time with plenty of time in between. When we sat down and asked the waiter about the steak that the other table had she said the steak was off the menu and costed 28€. I said their portion was huuuuge. Is there a portion for 2 people? She said the single portion was on the menu. So it is on the menu....I asked for one portion and mentioned we would order more food if it wouldn’t be enough. She then said kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. When I asked “how come you didn’t tell us while we waited outside” she said hours were on the door and then asked me if I was ok! Really? No I’m not ok. I’m hungry and cold and you are talking to me the way you are not supposed to talk to the customer. We are not coming back! I hope fellow Americans are reading this. Service is ridiculous here. The waiter never apologized to us and served our table quietly since I requested the other waiter to take our order. The gentleman who served other tables and later took our order was nice and apologetic (he was the one who initially told us to wait for the table outside and don’t mention kitchen is closing) and spoke better English (no don’t care for your English just be nice). Yet when I also asked if we can sit at the 4 top table when they leave he said it is a 4 top table not 2 top. Meanwhile there was really only one single 2 top table inside (2 tops were all outside) and apparently they were closing kitchen so why not? The only good thing I have to say is that food was somewhat good. We had the steak and foie gras. The first one was good but too salty for my taste. Second one was ok. Wine is not good. I’ve had much better Syrah from California. The other two two top tables also looked very upset with the service and the situation. So take your money elsewhere to the place that’s not spoiled with the amount of people coming there and offers good food and...
Read moreEvery dish was an absolute surprise.
As you can see from the pictures the interior doesn’t scream culinary precision even though every dish absolutely was!
We had the chicken salad, candied artichoke, mellow rice and mango custard/raspberry desert. The chicken salad tasted very soft and yet so many different flavors in one dish that go so well together. We loved it! The mellow rice was much stronger of taste with a light pesto topping it was really what filled us up, but our favourite was the artichoke! I’ve never had artichoke like this, both sweet, salty and acidic. It was really really good :) and then the raspberry was super foamy and the custard was very light. Both not too sweet or heavy. Delicious 😋
The lady who helped us along with the rest of the staff was super friendly and really took the time to help us with our choices. Thanks a lot for the...
Read moreThis is one of my favourite restaurant. A small restaurant located in Triana area... It was open 12 years ago and still going strong. Excellent service and outstanding food. I have been here 5 times and I have never been disappointed. The Spanish friends I took here could not believe the quality of its food...and they did not know this small but GREAT restaurant. The risotto here is a must..every time I order at least one dish!! If you want to enjoy this small gem...make sure you book in advance...else be ready to loose the opportunity and be VERY DISAPPOINTED!! The desserts are not what I would expect after having had such a PALATAL delight...but it can be me...seeing that all around people were clearly...
