RESTAURANTE ¡QUEDAMOS! — Restaurant in Soutomaior

We've come here at least 6 or 7 times. We usually order a dozen or two dozen oysters, calamares and fish.

Their calamares is delicious! One of the best, if not the best in Pontevedra. Theirs is tasty and the batter's just right, not too thick and not too thin. Actually, I only eat their calamares and in two other places in Pontevedra. Once, though, coming on a Monday, it wasn't as good and tasty. Well, Monday is not really a good day if you want to order fish or seafood in most, if not all restaurants in Spain. But at other times, it can be, basing from my experience dining in Spain in general...

The service could be better, though. A bit of a smile or a warm welcome wouldn't do any harm... 😉

The last time we had lunch here was one of the few times in a long time that we enjoyed food. How pleasant that feeling was! Yes, the prices are maybe on the high side but it's worth it.—Locals actually come here. They order some fish and that's it as the portion is quite sufficient.

Most restaurants are closed on Mondays except them.

Hace unas semanas, estuve allí con unas amigas, primero llegamos 3 y pedimos de beber, 2 pedimos unas ostras (y sí, mediocres, pero contestamos que bien, por educación, claro , que en ese momento, no sabíamos que era algo que no había en ese local) a nuestra compañera se le puso tapa y a nosotras no, por haber pedido ración.( entendible y sin rencor) Luego , llegaron el resto y pidieron su bebida, vino la bebida y su correspondiente tapa e inmediatamente pidieron unas ostras, llegaron las ostras y yo, porque fui yo, señora…le dije medio en broma y sonriendo y sin ánimo de generar disputa ni nada…. “ y nuestras tapas????” Y Ud. en un tono soberbio, altanero y sobre todo, maleducado y sin esperar réplica… contestó…” vosotras ya pedisteis ostras!!!!” Mi compañera se lo pone de queja y Ud. que, ya he comprobado que no sabe asumir las críticas , ha contestado de muy malas maneras, he aquí una muestra “ RESTAURANTE ¡QUEDAMOS! (propietario) Hace una semana Creo que te estas pasando un poco porque cuando llegasteis pedisteis 1/2 docena de ostras y como una no comía ostras le pusimos un pincho que es cortesía de la casa no una obligacion pero está claro que parece que tenemos que regalar las cosas y no es así, yo le pongo un pincho a mis clientes porque quiero “ vaya por delante, que Ud. en su local es libre de hacer y deshacer, así como, nosotras somos libres de volver o no volver. Evidentemente, no volveremos. Pero es que, además, ese día al llegar a su local, valoramos el quedarnos a comer y así se lo hicimos saber por teléfono al resto del grupo ( total éramos 7) antes de que llegaran, pero Ud. misma nos echó con su mala praxis. Y se lo dice alguien que lleva más de 30 años en atención al cliente, hay que tener mucha mano izquierda de cara al público y no entrar como un miura… la mayoría de las reseñas negativas de su local es su carácter…hágaselo mirar. Me quedo a la espera de su respuesta llena de amargura y ausente de comas, puntos y acentos…igual que una salchicha sin fin. Ah y un último consejo cambie el nombre del restaurante y ponga Donde no QUEDAMOS....

Wonderfully friendly and accommodating service. I wanted to try just one oyster in addition to the other dishes ordered … and they happily served me one oyster.

I had the avocado, anchovy and olive salad. Loaded with creamy, rich avo, stacks of anchovies and lots of fresh lettuce. And then I gobbled a large plate of tender, flavoursome, grilled calamari.

One thing that makes this place stand out is that it doesn’t shut for the afternoon so if you’re walking the Camino and are on the trail all morning to mid afternoon, and want an early dinner ahead of the next day’s hiking, you don’t have to wait for 8pm - 8.30pm for the...
