We chose this place for our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner, it did not disappoint. Deb and the crew were friendly and quietly passionate about what we were about to experience! We like an early dinner so we had the place to ourselves for the first hour which was perfect! The food was incredible, we had the specials for starters, pumpkin and sweet potato soup and homemade falafel, both very enjoyable. I had the lamb two ways and my wife had the steak, again, both were amazing, the veg accompaniment was impressive, and the presentation was beautiful. We finished on chocolate volcanoes, which were better than the pictures. Not big drinkers so one glass of house red, which was lovely, I would've gone with the recommended desert wine if not for being the driver! We weren't rushed, taking around 2 hours for this lovely experience. I'm just sad that the restaurant is closed for the rest of our stay on the island. If you're looking for great food whilst visiting the island, this gem is not...
Read moreAs starter we recommend the middle eastern spiced lamb koftas with lemon and sultana couscous and a mint and yogurt dressing. The koftas were very balanced in spice and tasty, everything fits perfectly together, I would eat that again. As main, take the crusted roasted rack of lamb, was very soft and melted in my mouth, done just as I asked for: medium plus. The other dishes we had were the homemade soup of the day, today was leak and potato. And chargrilled veal, a special of today outside of the menu. Negatives: we did not ask for bread and butter, were offered a portion of bread with two types of butter and olive oil, which we considered as greetings from the kitchen, but realized when the bill arrived that it was 3 euros. I believe clients should pay only for what they ask for. The butter with dry tomatoes was good, though. But it is a matter...
Read moreGood quality, tasty food - very well executed. Service was good. The interior is nicely designed and feels cosy. It's a British owned restaurant with (when we visited) all British staff. Presumably for that reason many of the clientele are British also, at least on our visit. So the place has a bit of an expat vibe. Not an issue but if you are expecting a Spanish/local experience you may be disappointed. Only 4 stars as - given the price and higher end cuisine they are clearly going for - I think the menu wasn't completely coherent - a mix of French/Oriental/Spanish/British dishes which didn't seem to connect somehow. Also it jars a bit to see such food miles on the menu these days - Uruguayan beef, New Zealand lamb? I'm being picky because of the price point and the competition at that level on the island. Nevertheless we had a...
