Chiringuito Agua — Restaurant in Tarifa

The man again answered in Russian why we don't speak Russian, that we don't have any nationalities here (I thought to myself: I've never studied Russian, it's the language of another aggressor country, they kill and torture Ukrainians in Russian, why should I know it or understand it? After all, in Ukraine there is only one state language - Ukrainian.) We ordered two beers and juice in English, paid and sat down at a table, when we put our food down, the same Russian man came up to us and in a little Russian, and more Spanish, started saying that you can't eat your own food here. I answer him, you yourself told us in English a few minutes ago that you can without any problems, why did you sell us beer and juice then? From then on, he spoke only in Spanish, saying, "Drink the beer but take the food." That is, when they found out that we were from Ukraine, the conditions immediately changed. I said that I had already paid, so I would finish my meal, drink the beer I paid for, as we agreed, and then I would leave, or they could call the police, because I would not leave until the terms of the agreement were fulfilled. I would not recommend this place to people under any circumstances.

Review of Chiringuito Aqua

Chiringuito Aqua, located at the Los Lances kite spot, offers an amazing atmosphere with great music and friendly people. While parking is challenging, especially during the high season in Tarifa, that's to be expected.

However, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the kitchen. The food quality could definitely be improved. The nachos, priced at 15 euros, were neither worth the price nor well-prepared. The smoothies were also disappointing—mostly ice and lacking real fruit. On the bright side, the burgers and baguettes were decent.

A great thanks place to learn how to kite surf, most schools will bring beginners here; however there are also a lot of advanced kiters here as well. The restaurant/bar is great, it was definitely designed for after or in between kite surfing. The place is full of cushioned beds, both in the shade and sun. The food is delicious, healthy with great proportions, for an after kite surfing session. It was my favorite “chiringuito” around Tarifa; it’s really close and it’s an amazing place to eat and rest after a few hours of kite surfing.
