We love this spot. Family friendly, good food, fantastic atmosphere, very human interactions, wonderful staff. And multilingual!

It feels like someone invited you into their home and you walk into their homey yet modern and chic dining room. Welcomed with a smile and a beverage. We’ve seen many warm and familiar faces pass through and all lovely and ambitious humans. The gentlemen that run this spot are absolutely lovely. They take care with their community and create so many opportunities to connect and share in culture experiences while also being a quiet space to work and grab a really good cup of coffee. Offering an array of language nights, open mics, whiskey tastings, and so much more. We love the food, but have had a couple off experiences in that department, never something we wouldn’t go back about, just an off evening here and there. But the service is always on point and the space is always welcoming. It’s a neighborhood watering hole and a perfect date night. The School House was our favourite place to eat during our recent trip to Tarragona. The service was exceptional and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

It has a great atmosphere and is a welcoming space for everyone including families with young children. There are board games and books for entertainment. The space hosts a number of events including language exchanges and live music performances. Good music and a relaxed vibe.

We went for an early dinner on a Friday night and ended up staying for drinks as they were showing the rugby match on a large projector. We ordered the halloumi fries which were incredible. We also enjoyed the bao buns - amazing. They have British and Irish inspired mains like fish and chips which were very good. The tiramisu is delicious and so fresh. The have a large drinks menu from kombucha to craft beer.

We ended up returning for Sunday brunch and enjoyed a BLT and a refreshing smoothie. Their cinnamon bun is a must have!

What a fantastic experience we had at the School House last Friday evening. My partner and I loved the bilious atmosphere. Food (salmon salad) was excellent. We enjoyed a drink or two and the staff were incredibly warm and engaging. We are relatively new to the area and will be back again - next time we’ll be brave enough to join the Spanish Corner (a happy, lively bunch of language students having lots of fun while helping each other to improve conversational Spanish).
