Ordered medium to rare Glazed tuna with pineapple. It comes with sauteed vegetables in soy and is completed with sliced potatoes and paper sauce. The vegetables were extremely salty probably because of the soy although a good chef won't allow the salty soy sauce to spoil the food that much hence I mention the vegetables on their own. The amount of the vegetables was no more than a big soup spoon. The tuna was well done instead of mid-rare as ordered. Strangely enough just on its own the tuna tasted even saltier than the vegetables! Because of the presence of the pineapple on the menu I was expecting that the tuna would be glazed in some sort of sweet glaze and the sweetness would come from the pineapple. There was no trace of sweetness on the tuna. I couldn't taste pineapple no where on my dish. The potatoes happen to be a cube of stacked-up slices of potatoes no bigger than a single uncut average size potato. The paper sauce was a tiny splash, just enough to bring some colour on the plate than to be enough to enhance the tuna flavour. When I was reading the menu, I got the impression that I was about to experience the sweet, the salty and the peppery taste with my tuna. It was a complete disappointment as apart from my tuna being overcooked the overall flavour of this dish was just salt. Strongly salty! This place claims to a fine dining but from my own experience I find it pretty average. The waiters are smiley and friendly but after a few questions you may find that their English starts and stops with what words are already used on the menu. Forget about asking questions about your wine...it is likely that you get a smile back instead of answer. In fairness, you are offered to taste the vino and send it back if you don't like it. However, if you are after certain flavour you may have to try few bottles as asking the waiters about it may be a "causa perdutta". I sent the dish back and the manager explained to me that the salty taste comes from the soy sauce. I was offered a replacement. The replacement tuna was perfectly cooked to medium rare but again lacking the pineapple glaze and the flavour. The vegetables were even less as quantity than the first time. The paper sauce somehow was none existent.
The pudding I ordered was Chocolate lava cake. It tasted more Coco than chocolatey as it lacked the sweetness. The chocolate sauce was encapsulated in something that tasted more doughy than fully baked cake.
This is not the experience that you would expect from a fine restaurant!
I have been coming to Club La Santa for 11years(excluding the Covid years) and always gave this restaurant a try with the hope that this time it won't disappoint but this place somehow manage to remain constant throughout the years and always fail to deliver.
The rest of the restaurants in the complex or these in the nearest village are much better choice. Save yourself the disappointment and go...

The restaurant offers beautiful surroundings and has high ambitions, but unfortunately delivered a mixed dining experience and poor service. We waited a long time to be seated, to get drinks, and to receive any attention – despite only a few guests and many staff present.
The garlic prawns tasted bad and were sent back, yet they still appeared on the bill (twice). Another dish had an unpleasant taste, and we had to actively get the staff’s attention just to order dessert and drinks.
The place has potential, but both the service and food quality need significant improvement to justify the...
Read moreSupposedly the fine dining option at Club La Santa but we only received fine dining prices. My chicken breast (and our neighbors’) is so dry I couldn’t finish it without pairing it with a side of sautéed vegetables. The vegetables are good quantity but very salty. With its location, ambiance and price list, I simply don’t understand why they didn’t make a bigger effort on chefs and food quality. Service was simple - nothing to complain or rave home about. Such a shame because people are walking 30 mins to the local town to avoid dining at Club La Santa when plenty of guests would have been happy to stay...
