Bar Restaurante "El Rebeco" — Restaurant in Torla-Ordesa

Friendly staff, helpful. Their English is not great (and neither is our Spanish) so we had a few misunderstandings. Make sure your order is clear.

Food was mixed quality: the chicken wings were the best I've ever had, the tempura vegetables were very nice. Pastel de Queso (cheesecake/lava cake) was very tasty.

The Pinsas BBQ however was horrible; just a store-bought deepfrozen pizza, artificial taste, and it arrived still partly frozen. Unfortunately, when we sent it back and said we didn't want a new one (it really put us off) the owner was quite unfriendly and argued with us that we still had to pay since we took a bite, even though we didn't want it. Edit: seeing the reply from the owner I feel speaks for itself.

The Ambar IPA Nieu was a good hoppy and malty IPA; would recommend it. But; I would stay away from the "Pirineos" labeled beers; they're no good. The staff did not seem very knowledgeable on beers for a craft beer bar.

DON'T GO to the restaurant!

We were looking for a simple place with some rustic food after a day of hiking, so we weren't expecting a fancy service or meal, but this experience is below the worst places I have been too.

The staff was super unfriendly and careless, he poured me half a glass of red wine and spilling everything careless on the table. The quality of the meat was also not good for the price we have paid.

He had a starter, and we couldn't even finish it, and he just dumped the next dish on the table...

They simply don't care about quality and service because they have enough tourists coming and don't rely on returning customers.

Don't GO to the restaurant! It seems the bar below is ok...

Fuimos un sábado en otoño, temporada alta todavía en Torla. No teníamos reserva y hemos preguntado antes de la apertura si había sitio y si tenían migas. Nos han dicho que aun faltaba media hora para abrir, pero que nos preparaban mesa (parecía que los habíamos pillado por sorpresa), y que solo les quedaban 4 platos de migas (sorprendente en un restaurante de 25 euros el menú en sitio tan turístico y al principio del fin de semana). Les digo que perfecto, etc, que esperamos en el bar. Al llegar a nuestra hora me dice el dueño que ha llegado un grupo grande (por sorpresa también) y que ahora les quedan 2 platos de migas sólo (cuando aún no habían pedido el menú, porque lo han pedido a posteriori delante de nosotros). Hemos podido repartir 2 platos de migas para 3 niños, y hemos pedido 3 hamburguesas para ellos de segundo, a lo que nos traen 1 para compartir. Nos habían entendido mal, y al repetirles que eran 3 hamburguesas nos dicen que ya no tienen hamburguesas. Es como si entre el grupo de al lado (eran 10-11) y nosotros (5 personas) se hubieran acabado toooodas las hamburguesas y las migas del restaurante. No he entendido nada. Ofrecen una carta, no te especifican lo que tienen o no, toman nota, y 1 minuto después ya no tienen. Alucinante. Para el postre yo cruzaba los dedos oyendo al grupo de la mesa de al lado, para que nos quedase algo... La carta ofrecía solo 5 platos primeros, de los cuales 2 eran ensalada. Y otro eran migas, que apenas tenían. Las carnes variadas, y buenas, muy bien hechas a la brasa. Pero no me parece un menú y una gestión para 25 euros por persona. Y en el salón hacía mucho frío, una estufa de gas que no calentaba. Mis hijos han comido con abrigo. Se paga el pueblo, muy turístico y de precios absolutamente elevados. Pero el trajín de las migas, las hamburguesas y el frío no merecen ese precio...
