Cafe Bar Amigos — Restaurant in Torre Pacheco

It is A REALLY friendly cafe bar!!!! Staff very, very good, the ladies behind the bar made us feel really welcome, even though it was our first visit. There were some "regulars" in and, in many places they can view new people with disdain, but here that certainly wasn't the case. They chatted with us, laughed with us, made us feel almost like a regular after one visit!!! You know you've been accepted when they start teasing you and sympathising with to about an upcoming IKEA visit or your local football team!

It's an unpretentious place, a real breath of fresh air to be honest. It's great home cooked food, served with a big smile, in a friendly ambience, and the food is tasty and well cooked and presented - all at A VERY reasonable price too!

We attended Amigos for the Saturday Chinese night (meal with a pint of lager or glass of wine for 7.95€). On arrival we received a very warm welcome from the staff who showed us to the table. The meal comprised of 3 mains (to share) of sweet and sour pork, chicken and cashew nuts and crispy sweet chilli beef with sides of egg fried rice and noodles.

The food was nicely presented in small dishes and tasted nice with lots of fresh ingredients and strong flavours. All dishes contained lots of meat and vegetables. The portion sizes were perfect. During Chinese night no other menu options were available. We would recommend Amigos because we were made to feel welcome, the food was good value for money and there was a lovely...

Food was good, fish and chips, but there wasn't enough. Booked a table for 8.15, tried to book earlier but couldn't. Finished eating at 9.15 went to order coffees at 9.25 to be told machine was off and had been cleaned so no we couldn't have a coffee. Place by this time was nearly empty yet had been heaving half an hour earlier. Shutters came down at 9.30, staff started cleaning and the smell of bleach was so strong it made us heave. Staff went outside with a glass of wine to have a cigarette! We took the hint and left at 10! Great Friday night out - NOT! If you don't want the custom change the message on your board outside because 'til late'...
