My visit to Casa Monaco in Torremolinos was a delightful journey to the heart of Italy, thanks to the warm hospitality of owner and cook Antonieta, whose passion for authentic Neapolitan cuisine shines through in every dish. Tucked away in a cozy corner of a residential neighborhood, this gem feels like stepping into a family trattoria in Napoli, with Antonieta’s welcoming smile and genuine care making you feel instantly at home. The parmigiana di melanzane was a standout, a perfect balance of tradition and finesse. Layers of silky eggplant, rich tomato sauce, and creamy mozzarella, baked to golden perfection, delivered a comforting yet refined taste of Campania. Each bite was a reminder of the dish’s roots, with the fior di latte melting beautifully, just as described in regional culinary traditions. It’s clear Antonieta sources fresh ingredients, elevating this classic to something truly special. The carbonara pasta was equally impressive, a masterclass in authenticity. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, coated in a velvety sauce made with guanciale, egg, and pecorino Romano—no cream in sight, respecting the Roman tradition. The smoky, crispy guanciale added depth, and the dish was perfectly seasoned, showcasing Antonieta’s skill in letting simple, high-quality ingredients shine. It was, as one reviewer noted, among the best carbonaras in Torremolinos. Paired with the meal, the Italian Valpolicella red wine was a revelation. Its vibrant cherry and berry notes, with a hint of spice, complemented the richness of the carbonara and the tangy tomato of the parmigiana beautifully. The wine’s smooth finish made it an ideal match, enhancing the meal without overpowering it. Antonieta’s thoughtful recommendation of this classic Valpolicella wine added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. The ambiance at Casa Monaco is warm and inviting, with a touch of Neapolitan charm that transports you to Italy. Antonieta’s personal touch—greeting guests, sharing stories, and ensuring every detail is perfect—makes you feel like family. Her dedication to bringing Naples to Torremolinos is evident in the food and the atmosphere, making this a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Italian cuisine. I left full, happy, and already planning my return to try more of her culinary treasures. Highly recommended for a taste of Napoli right in the heart of the Costa del Sol. My first visit to Casa Monaco in Torremolinos was a solo adventure, where I was warmly welcomed by Antonieta and instantly captivated by the authentic Neapolitan flavors that transported me to Italy. I knew I had to bring my mother, whose own mother was Napolitana, to experience this culinary gem. She was absolutely enchanted, especially by the pistachio tiramisu, which she declared the best she’d ever tasted—its creamy, nutty richness perfectly balanced with a hint of coffee, evoking memories of her grandmother’s kitchen. Antonieta’s heartfelt hospitality and the exquisite dishes, especially the tiramisu, left us both feeling a deep connection to our Italian roots, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

I had pizza with my family and a friends family here. I warmly recommend the place. Pizza is really good here and the staff is very friendly. The deserts are excellent. The location is in the middle of a residential area with flats buildings, but dont get fooled by this. Its worth to leave the busy turistic area of the city and...
