Casa Miguel — Restaurant in Benalmádena

In my opinion, overrated restaurant. My food was far from what i expected from 5 star restaurant and others opinions - now I don't believe that these are real. My dish was solomillo iberico - meat was like from a salt mine, half of it had consistency closer to gum which made it almost impossible to cut. And last but not least, with the dish came a few flies that i couldn't get rid of and were flying only over my meat. Potatoes were good. And there is a service issue. As for the Waiter - i dont have any complaints. But for the owner? My friends and I sadly know only a few basic words in Spanish and still we tried our best with google translate. So - newsflash - if you are standing and repeating a name of a dish for the 3rd time in Spanish and we still dont know what you brought, mayby it is not a good idea to do it for the 4th, 5th or even 6th time... Especially if you took orders from us one by one as we were sitting. Was that hard to remember or look into your notes? And finally as your line of defence is a "huge" tip that i gave you. Receipt was for 315 euros - i think. I gave you 25. That was just out of courtesy for serving 13 people, and for the Waiter that took orders for our bevereges - I feel sorry for him, because he was very nice and tried his best to communicate with us - CUSTOMERS. Fantastic restaurant, the best meal I had in Costa del Sol. It was so good that we came twice while we stayed at a resort 10km away. We had the solomillo iberico and secreto iberico as well as the fried aubergine on the first visit. The solomillo was the one of best pork dishes I've ever tried (my wife prefers the secreto). On the second visit we went for the flamequine, entrecote and the secreto again. Everything was delicious. Miguel the owner is super welcoming.
