Casa Mia — Restaurant in Torrevieja

I am big enough to admit it ..I last came maybe two and a half years ago and despite knowing how popular it was I was not convinced and have not been back ...either I went on a bad night or they have dramatically improved or both ...evening set meal ten euros 50...superb portion size ...starter calamares ...fresh ..hot..carbonara outstanding ..best I have ever had ..sizzling hot with steam till the last mouthful packed with cream and smoky pancettta ...cheese and biscuits a real rarity in Spain with grapes nice ..house red wine superb for six euros ish...the only thing that stopped me giving a five star was that the service died at the end ...I don't think this was the staff at all ..I think you have to ask the owner he appeared to be obessing with their attention over piffling paperwork at the bar rather than focus on his customers ...you'll have to ask him about that if he ever reads the reviews ..but great food ..great value ...superb .....

We went to Casa Mia for a birthday meal last night what can I say we'll we had the best meal ever, I had chicken so tender 2 of the party couldn't eat it all wanted to but said they was full but enjoyed it. I I I had Calamares (Squid) to start with and lots of it then my hubby had cheese board to start with he said he enjoyed it. 2 of us had chicken with peppercorn sauce, 1 had loin of pork and pineapple and My hubby had Chicken with Mexican sauce hats off to the chefs very nice. Mark and his team was excellent hosts. We come back quite often as the meals are superb. So if you want a decent meal...

4 years ago this was 5 stars all day long,had a great atmosphere and always felt like you could sit there all night eat drink and have a great evening with the staff and other customers. Unfortunately like everything nothing lasts forever, went for dinner and it really was a case of eat and go,probably spent an over an hour their,maybe it seems like the good times have gone,very somba atmosphere and the food was average compared to great on previous visits. Real shame,looked forward to going there but that will be the last time. This is purely my opinion and you have to try...
