Popped in as we found it on google maps randomly as we were passing. We asked if they served all-day breakfasts and they said yes, so we parked up and entered. When we saw the menus we noticed it said breakfasts served until 2pm. It was about 4-5pm so we were fortunate to get served We really liked the feel of the place. It was quiet, but its off season, so pretty normal for that time of the day. We could imagine a bit of a party atmosphere in the summer. I had small breakfast which was €4.95, my partner had tostada de tomate. She enjoyed it, but she suggested it would have been even more delicious if they had rubbed a clove of garlic over the bread before adding the tomato. It was very good value, we think it was €1.50. Coffee was lovely, it was €1.60. My breakfast was nice, actually some parts were nicer than expected. Proper UK white bread with President butter no less! The bacon was perfect for my taste, beautifully crispy so I even ate the fat, which I always normally cut off. Eggs cooked well and as hoped, cooked in a clean pan with no black bits. Others please take note. Beans were fine, nothing special. Sausage was a typical catering sausage, but tasted better than expected. It had a good texture inside with a very slight crispiness on the outside and an absolutely palatable taste. We have had some appallingly bland and cheap sausages from many places, so this made the slightly higher than average price point understandable. Service was very fast, and when we were handed our food it was done politely. The only criticism was when our napkins, and then coffee was brought over, not a single word was uttered even when we said thank you when it was placed down. It was the same person who politely served the food and also who said goodbye and thanked us. Its not a huge thing, but it would have been nice to receive a "hello" or something. We look forward to coming back again where the vegetarian breakfast...
Read moreVisited Oasis yesterday for the first time to use the pool. Loved it so back again today. The price list for the pool on the bar was available in English aswell as Spanish. My parents live locally so we were already aware we need to purchase wrist bands for pool access and they were cash only, but this was covered on the signage and price list too. The rules for the pool were displayed clearly and were appropriate (no glasses by pool, shirts on for visiting the bar, outside toilets to be used if wet from the pool etc). When ordering drinks/food if you mention they are for pool side they provide plastic cups and thick paper plates. I ordered my son lunch and then explained I was Gluten Free, not ecpecting to be able to eat anything. They lady nodded and smiled. When I explained I was coeliac she replied "ah" ,still with a smile, in a way I found reassuring as it showed she knew what it was and the seriousness of it. She grabbed a menu and went through it with me, taking no chances if unsure. We settled on a jacket potato with cheese. The salad had no dressing (this is a positive for a coeliac) and the butter was in a sealed pot on the side (another positive) and it was delicious. My son also enjoyed his burger and chips. Later that afternoon when the lunchtime rush was over I asked about the breakfasts. The lady was extremely helpful and went to the kitchen to check packaging etc. She returned with a list of what I could have and offered to grill some gf bread for me to accompany my breakfast if I didn't mind bringing it with me. I had the breakfast today which was enjoyed. I have found the staff polite and helpful and the whole bar and pool area to be clean. I wouldn't...
Read moreA real shame. We have a young family (1y, 4y and 7y) and was looking forward to a trip to this bar / pool. Unfortunately the trip was a disaster and we was left gobsmacked on several occasions, which was a shame as the pool itself was lovely.
When we arrive we proceeded straight to the pool area, where we was abruptly shouted at to go to the bar area and pay the enter. (€20 for a family, or €7 pp). Attitude of staff wasn't great.
We took a cool box for the babies milk, but the same barmaid came storming across and tried to take it off us "you MUST buy food here, etc"; a real chip on the shoulder
We ordered 2 Cornish pasties (€3 ea) and the same barmaid grabbed them from the bar, no gloves, no napkins and put them in the microwave. Couldn't believe it.
We was told of by the same barmaid for going to the bar with no t shirt on and send back to our lounger with the tail between the legs
Although we didn't experience the full menu, we was told by another regular that the burgers were just frozen rubbish and gristle (this was word of mouth however.)
Like I said above, this was a real shame as the place could be amazing if the attitudes of the staff were better. We ended up leaving early as we was wound up by the attitudes, hopefully they chill out and let the guest enjoy themselves in...
