Chiringuito Rincón de Pepe — Restaurant in Torrox

Was busy when arrived around 4pm. Table was dirty on arrival and we sat and waited for the table to be cleaned. Waited for drinks order to be taken. Waited for food order to be taken ! Waited for food to arrive. 3 pizzas portion chips nothing to fussy. Pizzas were homemade but dry and crust un edible fed to birds hanging around the table. The restaurant had all but cleared and staff were sat having food before our food even arrived. Chips arrived practically as pizza finished, looking like they had probably been cooked before the pizza and re fried to within a inch of their lives so no potato left in them. Really felt as though we were invisible. Service appalling. 4 years ago I had an amazing experience here. What happened ? Changed hands ? Will never return ! Left table 6pm not there that long through choice. One consolation the surf was up and watching the surfers...

The two of the weiters serving us in this bar, had terrible English (what seems to be the standard in Torrox, btw). One of them behaved like he understands, but he always brought something different that we ordered. Multiple dishes that we ordered were out of stock. I had chicken nuggets, because no other dishes that I liked were available. Nuggets were ok, but there is hardly a space for error when it was bought in a shop, not home made. View and nature arround was amazing. On the picture attached is the large beer (according to them)... Ah and also, they don't have a drinks menu, not mentioning they come to take your order before they bring any...

Staff were excellent. Arrived early told all tables were reserved. After a few minutes we were shown a table at the rear of the restaurant.

Ordered 4 dishes and a bottle of wine. Wine arrived, after 20 minutes one dish arrived, nothing else. Finished that dish and the next dish arrived. Ten minutes or more later the other dish arrived. One dish didn't arrive at all but we were charged for it. We ordered gamba plancha 12.50 and they charged 19 € for a different gambas dish! The bill was sent back 3 times and ended up more rhan the other 3 bills. Live local to the restaurant bur sadly will not recommend it or...
