Restaurante El Pago — Restaurant in Turre

Family run B&B (known as a ‘hostal’ in Spanish) and restaurant at the bottom end of Turre, near the castle monument. Not far from Mojácar pueblo and beach.

Needed a place to stay for one night in August and El Pago was the only local place with a room. Accommodation was clean with good aircon, shower. And the TV was working!

I thought the price was a bit high at €60 per night, but it was the hight of the summer season. Not sure if breakfast was included as I never asked and got up just before checkout time at 12pm.

Had two tostadas with tomato and tuna and a bottle of alcohol free beer plus a small bottle of lemon. Normally this would cost between 3 euros and 3.50 euros per person at all bars in the area. Today we were charged 11.50 euros and when we queried this were told it was correct. We have been resident here for 16 years and do not appreciate paying 'tourist' prices. Will never visit again...

If you're expecting haute couture, this may not be the place for you. However, if you're seeking good tasty food at a very reasonable price, this is the place you want.
